Eric Clapton: He was a heroin addict to the extent that he once collapsed during one of his performances. Eric Clapton eventually realized the futility of his addiction and decided to go sober, which also led him to open the Crossroads Center for drug and alcohol treatment. Oprah Winfrey: She admitted to taking crack cocaine during the 80s. Oprah Winfrey, who is among the most followed celebrities in the world, has remained sober ever since.
