Iowa Ambassadors MusicEuropean Tour

GGRRIINNNNEELLLL — Local high schoolmusicians, Michelle Stille, fromWest Fork High School and AnneTesar, from Clear Lake High School,will tour Europe with the IowaAmbassadors of Music (IAM), July3-18.

Tesar will perform in the 190-member band and Stille will performin the 112-member choir, on thetour.

Stille was nominated for this tripby West Fork Chorus Director CindyHemm. Tesar was nominated for thetrip by Clear Lake Band Director, Jeff

Griffin.The students are part of a select

group of 308 student musicians,advisors and parents from acrossIowa. The 2012 tour is a 20-dayevent that includes four days ofrehearsal in Grinnell, with a farewellconcert at Grinnell College, July 2.The Ambassadors then have a 16-day concert tour covering England,France, Switzerland, Germany, Aus-tria, Italy and Liechtenstein. Thestudents will perform in each coun-try except Liechtenstein.

To be considered for membershipin IAM, students must be recom-mended by their school musicteachers as having superior music

skills and possessing high character.After this initial recommendation,the students are contacted about theopportunity to participate in thetour.

od, of Mason City, was named to thesecond semester Dean’s List for the2011-12 academic year, at ConcordiaCollege.

The couple will be married at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28,2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Scarville. Areception will follow in Ventura.
