FROM THE HEARTS OF YOUR UNCLESTo your Uncle George you were his beloved Chucho, to Uncle Tony you were Mchicha, to Uncle John, Nyaseje and to Uncle Mark, Chichygal.

The pet names bore witness to the kind of close bonding you had with us your uncles, after whose mother Mary Ayomo Agutu aka Kachollah, you were aptly named.

We were privileged to watch you grow from that toddler in our sister’s lap to be a beautiful, vibrant, intelligent and promising young woman, for whom not even the sky had limits.

Like everyone who knew, loved and treasured you, Nyaseje, our hearts are shredded by your sad, untimely and most unfortunate demise.

We all mourn with Sophie (your mum and our

beloved sister); your dad Martin and siblings, Mercy, Lucy, Pauline and Emmanuel and relatives, workmates, brethren in Church, and friends who knew you for the 28 years God gave you to us.

We are all numb with shock and deeply pained at what you went through in those agonizing last moments of your life. We fervently wish we were there to cast a protective shield and bulwark around you.

Nonetheless, and as difficult as it is, we are determined not to let that dark cloud overcast the brightness and spark your life brought into ours.

We purpose not to drown in grief, much as it rises high against us like tides in the ocean. For to do so would go against the very thing you brought into our lives – untold joy.

We purpose to focus on that joy and celebrate you as the precious gift from Our Father in Heaven, to whom you have now returned.

We will rejoice forever at the thoughts of the moments we had together with you.

To us, you were the meteorite that streaks across the sky, lighting everything in the heavens above and the earth beneath, before vanishing in a blinding flash, leaving all mesmerized by the spectacle.

We release you to shine and walk among the stars of Heaven where you belong. For indeed, there is only one place an angel like you returns to after the mission on earth is over – Heaven.

George Agutu, Tony Agutu, John Agutu and Mark Agutu

On 4th May 2009, I met mine so happy and full of life and stories(i have only recently learned that it was a skill you had acquired over the years :-) )

Two months later you confessed that you had spotted me during induction and you promised yourself that “ you will be bffs with the most beautiful fresha you had seen” when someone perfect choses you<Dude you have to oblige> true to your words you never left my side. You have continued to love me even

when I let you down. You are my biggest cheerleader. You are my favorite sister, my best friend, godmother to our baby, my maid of honor, you fight my fights, keep me on track. I have shared the best part of my life with you. You have given me an extra set of siblings and parents. I love you.

You have brought so much happiness to my life that my heart aches at the thought that all these are just memories. That I have to spend the rest of my life

and raise our toto without you.I miss how you laughed and told me

“cheki huyu msee beddie” all the inside jokes we had that no one would get. I can’t summarize our beautiful life but I can thank you.

Thank you beautiful girl for a decade of true friendship. You are a miracle. You are angel. You are perfect. I will be loving you a long, long time.
