The Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation is equipping individuals and families, healthcare providers, health organizations and entrepreneurs to face the future.

The Parkview Research Center works with area physicians to test the safety and effectiveness of new medications and treatments. In the first 25 years of its history, the research center has completed more than 400 research studies in cardiology, neurology and oncology research. More recently, the research team has broadened its scope to include radiation oncology, gastroenterology and bioinformatics. Ninety research studies are currently available locally. Having easy access to research studies provides many benefits to residents in northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio and south-central Michigan.

The Advanced Medical Simulation Lab features three medical simulation labs and two mobile units equipped with technology to train clinical professionals, providers and students on complex skills within a safe, non-patient care environment. The high-fidelity medical manikins utilized in the Mirro Center are life-like in that they “breath”, “speak” and respond to treatments by clinical teams. The Simulation Lab allows clinical professionals to learn and practice procedures that equip them to provide excellent care for patients in a multitude of clinical settings.

Along with the Simulation Lab, the Innovation Center is transforming and revolutionizing how healthcare is delivered to patients and their family members. The environment generates creativity and collaboration of new information and technology to help discover solutions to current and future challenges in healthcare. The Innovation Center inspires and catalyzes a healthcare delivery culture of innovation excellence throughout Parkview Health.

The facility’s greatest promise for transforming how healthcare is delivered to patients is taking place in the Parkview Center for Health Innovation. This space fosters creativity and collaboration as new solutions to healthcare challenges are developed.

The mission of the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation is to lead the discovery of “next-generation” technologies and medical practices that have potential to revolutionize healthcare and save lives.

Santiago Jaramillo leads a team of engagement experts in their mission to unlock human potential by providing more reliable employee engagement insights for better decision making.

From humble origins, Santiago immigrated to Florida with his family after escaping a kidnapping at his church by the militia in Cali, Columbia. Through this experience, he learned the importance of adaptability and grit. These have been grounding principles for him throughout his business career.

A serial entrepreneur, Santiago has developed and grown multiple small and midsize companies. Most notably as the founder and CEO of mobile app platform, Bluebridge, Santiago grew the company from his college dorm room to become the premier app platform to churches and tourism destinations across the country. Under Santiago’s leadership, the company grew to over 45 employees in four

years and nearly 500 customers across the world. In November 2016, Bluebridge church and tourism was acquired by PushPay and Simpleview, respectively, for a combined $8 million dollars.

Santiago has trained thousands of CEOs and HR leaders across small, mid-market, and Fortune 500 companies on the importance and business value of employee engagement.

In 2013, Santiago was named to Inc. magazine’s “30 Under 30” list and invited to the White House for recognition of his entrepreneurial contributions through the Champions of Change Program. Most recently, he was named to Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list in 2015 as one of the youngest honorees in the program’s history. He received the award for Indiana Latino Businessman of the Year in 2016. Santiago is the co-author of Agile Engagement, an Amazon best-selling book.
