Most Muslim families will either plan a meal or

party or attend one elsewhere. Lets look at

some popular dishes from around the globe.

are offered as a token of love and blessing.

Dates are important part of Eid here.

A traditional dish called Klaicha is a must

(cookie stuffed with nuts and dates)

is made from couscous, butter and honey.

Just like any celebration, decorations play a part in

making the festival fun but each family will decorate

there house differently.

Some women and girls will also decorate their bodies

with Henna ink in Mehndi designs as a way to

celebrate.

During Eid it is customary for children to

receive gifts, usually this is money so when

family and friends visit, the elders of the

family give the children their gifts.

This is called Eidi.
