center of the traditional art market, this annual event unites the capital’s foremost art experts,

three leading auction houses and selected international galleries, and “celebrates theunparalleled expertise and extraordinary riches held within the galleries of Mayfairand St James’s.” Approximately 50 participants, all situated within walking distance, unveil

new discoveries and host special exhibitions, with the event attracting connoisseurs and

enthusiasts from around the world.

This year’s event will follow the success of London Art Week 2015, which welcomed

representatives from over 50 international museums, as well as a record number of visitors

from as far afield as Australia, Brazil, China, India and Singapore. The week also recorded

sales up to and over £1million with purchases by both new clients and international

institutions.

New participants for 2016 include

Arcadia Cerri Fine Art,Bagshawe Fine Art, Charles Ede, Peter Finer, Kallos Galleryand M&L Fine Art.

In addition, Colnaghi will exhibit at their first London Art Week since their merger with

Spanish art dealers Coll & Cortés, and new gallery Lullo • Pampoulides, will launch in

Cork Street with their inaugural exhibition. They join many of the world’s most renowned

galleries who exhibit at London Art Week, including, among many others, Agnew’s, SamFogg, Richard Green, Johnny van Haeften Ltd., Daniel Katz, Lowell Libson Ltd.,Moretti Fine Art, Stephen Ongpin Fine Art, Tomasso Brothers Fine Art and TrinityFine Art.

will be available at www.londonartweek.co.uk, and via Twitter @LondonArtWeek and

Instagram @London_Art_Week.

New for this year, London Art Week will offer a preview on Thursday 30 June from 3pm to

8pm. London Art Week has also entered an exclusive partnership with Art History UK, aboutique cultural tours company specialised in the history of the capital’s art and architecture.

Art History UK will offer a bespoke series of tours and events that will give fascinating

insights into the art, architecture and history of Mayfair and St James’s. Tours will include

highlights from London Art Week, museum visits, and other talks and events related to the art

world and collecting.

London Art Week is sponsored by The Crown Estate as part of its St James’s portfolio. The

Crown Estate owns approximately 50% of St James’s and is implementing a £500m

investment programme to sensitively refine and enhance the area, which forms part of its

core holdings in London’s West End.
