CELEBRATING APOLLO 13Jerry Czubinski and graphic artist Eric Pickett have teamed together to created this commemorative design to honor the men and women who together put America onto the Moon. This will be a 4” x 6” fully embroidered Limited Edition run of 150 patches. We believe that it is a beautiful design representing the many elements of the manned lunar space program, both past and future. As you can see on the left, the blue crescent of Earth and on the right the gray crescent of the Moon. The 12 stars represent astronauts and workers involved with each of the Apollo missions. The yellow/gold star represents the astronauts who lost their lives on Apollo 1. The Blue star is for The first landing on Apollo 11, the red star for this mission Apollo 13. The quote made famous in the movie “Apollo-13” is there in tribute to the extraordinary effort to rescue the three man crew from the brink of disaster. The legend from the Apollo 13 emblem “Ex Luna Scientia or From the Moon, Knowledge” simplyt but accurately describes the Apollo program
