For my collage I specifically chose a genre of music for each of my albums. The genre I chose was generally based towards rock and progressive rock/psytrance and dub step. This enabled me to narrow down to my favourite artists and tracks.

I have chosen eleven albums each of which I picked out specifically because of the illustration on the cover. I used the covers which I thought stood out and were appealing to the target audience

My objective of presenting my collage as if it were a album slide show, allowed me to show all of the albums individually.

Evanescence The Front cover illustrates the

genre of the band. The colours used are dark and gothic; greys, blacks and blues.

Amy Lee (lead singer) is the woman on the front cover and this promotes her as an artist as well as the band

The Cover looks very angelic. The way in which Amy is posing shows that she is in deep thought and the clouds around her help promote this. Its almost is if her ‘head is in the clouds’. Also the use of wings and patterns tie in with the theme.

The typical font style for Evanescence is also there, this also demonstrates the genre of music.

Caspa And Rusko

The Front cover illustrates the genre of the music. The colours used are retro and dark, this presents an upbeat and unique feel to the album.

The bat flying out of the cocoon signifies new life and energy, this makes the viewer consider if the music will be like this.

The font style is also very retro and bold. It stands out and overall the cover is presented very neatly.

Pantera

The Front cover is a very clear demonstration of the genre of music this is. The image represents aggression and is very eye catching.

The way in which the cover is laid out also markets the product very well as it is very bold and to the point.

The font style is also very bold and outstanding and is in keeping with the style of the band.

Infected Mushroom The genre of this band is psytrance

and the front cover represents the unusual appeal that the music brings.

The image is a very professional illustration and there is a lot of detail in the picture. The producers of this cover obviously wanted to shock the viewer with the ‘disturbing’ image of the young girl. It may also been known as a blythe doll.

The font shows a slightly elegant feel from the image and also ties in with the colours used.

The colours of the image are very ‘eye’ catching and the viewer then becomes fascinated with the overall cover.
