A NOTE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER Welcome Back to all returning residents and RVers. As many of you have noticed, we have painted and re-roofed the commercial buildings, resurfaced 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th streets, replaced the patio furniture, re-upholstered the pool furniture, added some fresh umbrellas, added digital signage, replaced several street signs, removed over 50 large and dangerous eucalyptus trees, pebble-tech finished the remaining pools and hot tubs, replaced the cedar in the saunas, installed ball field dugout covers, added a 6 foot fence between Pickleball Courts, purchased a new mower for the golf course, replaced the Cactus, Sewing Room and Library floors, replaced the wood walkway overhang with steel beams outside the craft rooms, replaced the railing at the golf course with a sturdier build, made extensive curb and sidewalk repairs, added a patio wall and shading at the Pro Shop, replaced the Bocce Ball benches, added new mattresses to the hotel and park model rentals, renovated 11 guest rooms at the hotel, and redesigned and engineered a new look for the landscaping. Several of these projects are still underway but should be close to being complete by November! We also made several improvements to the infrastructure including main gate electrical repairs, kitchen equipment and flooring repairs, isolation valves to the plumbing system, sewer line repair, concrete drainage and fire breaks at the Bay, and several HVAC unit replacements. Although there is still plenty of work to do, we are proud to announce these enhancements to Voyager, and will continue improving the property over the next year. As a friendly reminder, please observe all stop signs and speed limit signs. We have many walkers, pets, and bicycles using our streets. If you are a pet owner, familiarize yourself with our pet rules. These, along with trash collection and recycling guidelines are available at Registration. With the new enhancements at the resort, we ask for your help in keeping your yard meticulously maintained to ensure all areas are neat and tidy. If you need help with weed and tree maintenance, please let us know. Voyager was proud to achieve the Arizona RV Mega-Park of the year award again in 2019! We also achieved our 4th year Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2019, and our housekeeping team achieved the Tidiest Resort Award based on your feedback! I’m looking forward to another exciting season, full of entertainment and adventure. If there is anything we can do to make your stay with us more enjoyable, please let us know. BELLE TONES Do you love to sing and want to be part of our womens' four part barbershop harmony chorus? Join us and sing in our Christmas concert. Our members learn new vocal skills, form close friendships and have fun rehearsing for our concerts. Our first meeting is Tuesday, October 22 in the Catalina Room at 1 PM. We will be looking for you.

CHAPEL CHOIR The Voyager Chapel Choir gets underway with its’ first rehearsal on Thursday, October 31 from 12:30 to 2:00 in the Ballroom, continuing every Thursday, same time, same place, throughout the season. All are welcome. We hope you will join us and enjoy the fun of singing great music in a great way. See you then!

NIMBLE FINGERS

During the 2018/2019 season Nimblefingers donated a total of 3,167 items to various charities. A big Thank You to all for your hard work! We continued to meet throughout the summer with a smaller but dedicated group. Now with cooler temperatures in the desert we welcome back members returning with many items they have made over the summer. Thank You to those that have donated material and yarn. Our cupboards are brimming with possibilities. Join us in the Palo Verde Room every Monday and Friday from 1 to 3 PM.

STORYTELLING Voyager Community Storytelling begins Sunday, October 20. Who knew that we would find such a richly diverse, entertaining group so willing to share life experiences? October 20 – Journeys (of any sort) November 17 – Loose Ends December 15 – Homecoming (of any sort) January 18 – Oops! February 16 – Fork in the Road March 22 – Mortified As a storyteller, you’ll have ten minutes to tell your story to an appreciative audience. You’ll meet the Sunday before for a “rehearsal”.
