Daryl Feril grew up traveling from city to city and was influenced by the various environments in which he lived. He graduated from an art school in Bacolod City, Philippines and has been a freelance designer/illustrator since 2012.
Feril’s mixed-media, hand-drawn style has been appreciated by many, earning him clients such as Tiger Beer, AR New York and Line Skis USA. His blossoming patterns of beautiful chaos are some of our favorites and we are so pleased to share his work in the following pages.

Listening to PMP’s sound check, we knew we were in for an amazing night of music.
The extremely technical musicians had to have their sound just right, a tweak here…a
tweak there...at last, the magnificent sound of POOR MAN’S POISON.
The Hanford-based string quartet started out performing in various hard rock bands, but
it wasn’t until they changed gears, slowed down and joined the country music scene that
they found national recognition.

In a songwriting contest, PMP topped 50,000 hopeful country artists, netting the band
fame -- along with a grand prize of $100,000. And it has been a crazy ride ever since.
Pmp’s catchy riffs and grungy vocals are what the country music industry has been in
desperate need of for the last decade. Look for PMP to blow up and put Hanford and
the entire Central Valley on the map.

Aloha from Pono Hawaiian Grill, a tropical oasis in downtown Santa Cruz. This tiki paradise makes you want to grab a board off the wall and bomb over to West Cliff Drive -- but not until you eat!
We enjoyed Pono’s large patio and soaked up the ocean air while waiting for our first appetizer, the Lanikai. A Hawaiian Ahi Poke stack with sweet onions, cubed avocado, seaweed salad and

a soy sauce marinade topped with wontons and oil, the Lanikai was so good we almost needed two! Next we tried Spam Musubi (spam sushi). Grilled with teriyaki sauce and served on a bed of rice all rolled in seaweed, this dish was fun finger food and paired perfectly with a Hawaiian lager from The Reef Bar. For my entree, I chose the Kahuku Prawn Plate -- pan sauteed prawns in a lemon, garlic and sweet onion sauce that were to die for! The dish was served

with sticky rice and one of the best macaroni salads I have ever had!
He ordered the Ali’i Combo which could feed an entire family! This plate has a little of every traditional Hawaiian dish: steamed pork and mahi mahi lau lau, slow-cooked kalua pork lomi, Lomi Lomi salmon, a Hawaiian style ceviche, poi, Hawaiian taro root, and finally Haupia coconut pudding for dessert!

To top it all off we had an extra helping of the Haupia followed by a few more brews while listening to some live local entertainment.
Chef Edgar Torres has been making culinary masterpieces for the last 15 years and you’ll know it the first time you taste the food at Pono Grill. With a huge tiki patio and great line up of local entertainment, the Pono Grill & Reef Bar is a place where you can chill all night.
