SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES FOR CCE
Science• Individual activities – Collection,
Presentation, Demonstration etcetera;
• Group Discussions – 3 to 5 students in a group with few topics for discussion;
• Brain Storming – 3 to 5 students coming out with the effects/impacts on some topic;
• Concept Mapping – by taking a key concept
SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES FOR CCE
• Projects – 4 to 6 students depending upon the gravity of project work;
• Seminar – a group of students presenting a topic each on a significant unit;
• Small research projects /surveys – 3 to 5 students on a sub topic in a given unit.

ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF ENERGY
Topics for discussion need to look into alternative sources of energy; Impact of depleting sources of energy;Advantages and disadvantages of
a) conventional/non-renewable sources of energyb) non-conventional/renewable sources of energy
GROUP DISCUSSION
Utility of renewable sources of energy;
Judicial use of available sources of energy;
Measures to reduce consumption of different sources of energy.
BRAIN STORMING
Here a group of students discuss among themselves and come out with a final decision.

Topic: ELECTRONICS
• Revolution in science and Electronic gadgets;
• Society and electronic gadgets.
CONCEPT MAPPING
What is Concept Mapping?
a method of representing the conceptual structure;
concepts are isolated by circles and connected by lines with labels;
concepts are arranged hierarchically – most general one at the top;
effective for structure & process of knwprocess.

RESEARCH PROJECTS/SURVEYS
Here the students conduct small research projects/surveys on evidence from the field.
Qualitative or quantitative depends on the nature of the topic and purpose.
Needs to be done following certain specified stages.
STEPS IN RESEARCH PROJECTS/SURVERYS
Identifying the area/topic of research;
Identify the research question/problem;
Selecting the sample;
Collecting the data;
Processing the data;
Preparation and presentation of report.
CRITERION FOR ASSESSMENT
General points to be considered:• Objective of the activity;
• Participation of each student;
• Planning and Execution;
• Contribution from each member;
• Presentation of the activity;
• Outcome of the activity;
• Teachers overall observation.
