3つのスタディープランを設定 Three categories of study plans

①言語コミュニケーション / Language & Communication

言語を媒体とするコミュニケーションについて総合的な理解を深め、その理論的探究及び応用分野での活用を研究する。また、グローバル社会における教育・政策立案における言語の役割や、個人と社会を繋ぐ言語のあり方を研究対象とする。

②文化コミュニケーション / Culture & Communication

グローバル社会において多様化する文化表象の理解から異文化的差異の存在を認識し、その差異を新たに文化として組成していく文化のダイナミクスを研究対象とする。同時に、グローバル文化を支える概念や理論的枠組みについても分析・研究する。

③社会コミュニケーション / Society & Communication

グローバル社会の中で、国境を越えて流通する様々な情報のあり方を研究対象とし、それらの情報がもたらす効能、および問題を取り上げ、その積極的理解と解決を求める研究を展開する。

博士課程プログラムの特徴 Features of the program

修士課程の教育・研究を継続し、より専門的かつ高度な国際コミュニケーション学研究に重点を置くための博士後期課程を開設しています。言語的アプローチ、文化・メディア的アプローチ、社会的アプローチの3つの方法論により、国際コミュニケーション学研究を発展させることを目的としています。 カリキュラムは、図にある4つの研究領域を中心に「コア研究」「セミナーA」「セミナーB」「インデペンデント・スタディー」から構成されます。「コア研究」は博士論文作成に向け、アカデミック・アドバイザーにより行われる研究指導です。「セミナーA」では言語、文化・メディア、社会的アプローチから国際コミュニケーション学を専門的に学び、「セミナーB」ではさらに横断的かつ複合的な視点から研究を深めています。「インデペンデント・スタディー」では、サブ・アドバイザーを中心とする教員に指導を受け、より広い視点かえら研究課題に取り組んでいきます。

（学内全ての図書館を合せると、蔵書数は580万冊以上/Over 5.8 million holdings across all libraries）

・多様な電子ブックやジャーナル、データベースが利用可能 Various online contents are available.

・1,800席以上の閲覧席が理由可能 Over 1,800 self study spaces

留学センター Center for International Education 早稲田大学が持つ約700以上の海外協定校との海外留学プログラムを提供。 国や地域、半年間や1年間など、必要に応じて多様なプログラムから選択することが可能。 This center arranges study abroad programs with over 700 overseas partner institutions.

Students may select from a wide variety of programs in various different countries and length according to the

students needs.

ラィティング・センター Writing Center

専門的な訓練を受けたチューターにより、以下の無料個別相談を受付けています。

紀要・トランスコミュニケーション Research Journal, Transcommunication 年2回発行しており、研究科教員、助手、院生により投稿された論文・エッセイ・書評を集めた冊子。 学内での冊子配布、「早稲田大学レポジトリ」にて保存及びウェブサイト上で公開しています。 Collections of thesis, essays and book reviews by GSICCS faculty, research associates, and students.

Published twice a year and distributed within the university as well as stored on the Waseda Online Repository.

出願ステップ（修士課程・博士後期課程共通） Admission Flow (Master’s & Doctoral Program)

◆STEP 1

最新の入試要項をGSICCSウェブサイトよりダウンロードする。 Download the application guidelines from the official website of GSICCS.

◆STEP 2

入試要項の情報に沿い、出願書類を準備する。 Prepare your application documents according to the application guidelines.

◆STEP 3

所定の検定料の支払いを行う。 Make the payment of the designated screening fee.

◆STEP 4

オンライン出願システム（The Admissions Office）を通して出願を完了する。 Complete your application through the online application system (The Admissions Office).

◆STEP 5

後日、受験番号をオンラインシステム上で確認する。 Confirm your application number on the online application system.

◆STEP 6

合否結果発表日にオンラインシステム上で結果を確認する。 On the day of the announcement of the results, check your results on the online application system
