• High price of carbon ceramic brake disks is probably the most restricting reason why they are not more widely used, calculations by DLR Company, manufacturing cost 350 Euro.

– High and consistent frictional coefficients– Weight advantage over conventional cast iron components

(65%)– Not affected by corrosion– Long life span

due to its advantages over the conventional brake disc CMC are going to be the brake disc for cars in the future. With the success of e.g. Porsche turbo car, many other racing cars and commercial vehicles are going to implement CMC in cars.
