We are excited to formally announce the upcoming Adult & Teen

Shabbaton. The retreat is open to teens (13+) and adults. Singles,

couples and families are invited to attend and find a Conservative

Shabbat spirit, community, and enjoyment in the variety of activities

planned for the weekend. Bring your friends! This retreat is open to

anyone (member or not). Rabbi Naomi Levy will be in attendance as

the adult Scholar in Residence and Lauren Henderson, rabbinic intern

and former CBS teacher, will be working with our teens.

Date: January 27-29, 2012 (rain or shine!)

Please arrive by 5:15 pm.

Location: Camp Young Judaea in Wimberley, Texas

Cost: $170 or $220 per person based on the level of ac-

commodation

(Lodge accommodations are limited and will be

available on a first-come, first-served basis.)

evening a month. This service is designed to meet the needs, interests, of preschool-age children, who will be

actively engaged through prayers, songs, dancing, story-telling, and much more! Join us this year for an amazing

Shabbat experience full of singing, dancing, and eating.

CHANGE FOR PURIM Matanot L’evyonim – It is a mitzvah to give gifts to the poor at Purim time. The CBS Youth & Education Departments will be collecting change from February 1 thru Purim, March 7 to fulfill this mitzvah. Collected funds will be given to Jewish Family Services to help enable their assistance of those in need. Empty your banks, get out those coin collections, and help us fulfill a major Purim Mitzvah

Purim Mitzvot Hearing the Megillah Read

(Wednesday, March 8th) Purim Seudah – meal will be served

prior to the Megillah reading Matanot L’evyonim – Gifts to the

Poor (Change for Purim Program) Mishloach Manot – Gifts to friends

and family (Watch for the CBS Mishloach Manot forms)
