The Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs will wrap up their two-game regular season series tonight at Quicken Loans Arena. In their first meeting on Nov. 20, the Cavs had 47 bench points and a 12-4 advantage in second chance points. Daniel Gibson led the reserves with 17 points, including shooting 3-4 (.750) from beyond the arc. However, the Spurs shot 43-81 (.531) from the field, including 12-25 (.480) from long distance, to win 116-92 at the AT&T Center. Cleveland trails the all-time series 49-29, but has won four of the last five contests against San Antonio at The Q.

J.J. Hickson has continued to give the Cavs stellar play at the center position. In last Friday’s victory against New York, the third-year pro put up a monster performance with 24 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. He followed that up with game highs of 22 points and 16 rebounds against Philadelphia on Sunday. The last Cavalier to have consecutive games of at least 20 points and 15 rebounds was Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who did it on Feb. 25-27, 2005. Hickson has recorded seven double-doubles in his last eight games (since Feb. 7) and is averaging 18.8 points on .516 shooting, 12.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 36.6 minutes over that span. After the Cavs finish their season-long eight-game homestand tonight versus San Antonio, the team will play at New York on Friday.

The Spurs, who have the best record in the NBA at 49-10, come into tonight’s contest as the No. 1 team in three-point field goal percentage, shooting .401 from beyond the arc. San Antonio is also scoring 103.5 points per game (6th in NBA), while holding their foes to just 96.3 points.
