EXT. ROOF TOP. GOTHAM CITY. NIGHT.
CATWOMAN and the assassin known as DEADSHOT are standing
atop one of GOTHAM CITIES many skyscrapers in the
financial district. Thunder rumbles and rain begins to
pour as a storm sets in over the darkened city.
In one swift movement DEADSHOT pulls a PISTOL from his
holster and shoots CATWOMAN.
CATWOMAN
Arrgh!
CATWOMAN crumples to the floor clutching her wound.
CATWOMAN (cont’d)
(voice over)
I know what you’re thinking,
’cause I’m thinking the same
thing, was it all really worth
it? Was it worth using my last
life on this?
INT. SELINA KYLE’S APARTMENT. NIGHT.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
It started six months ago when I
was visited by an old friend who
convinced me I was wasting my
life.
SELINA KYLE is sitting on the floor beneath her window. In
front of her stands CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT).
CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT)
No matter how hard you party you
can’t forget, can you? You miss
the rush of the hunt, you miss
being chased!
SELINA KYLE sits and tries to process her conflict.
CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT)
When you remember who you are,
I’ll be waiting.
CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT) disappears into the shadows of
the Apartment.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Maybe I should have just switched
to decaf and gotten more sleep
but then I would have just been
denying who I really was.
2.
INT. SELINA KYLE’S APARTMENT. BEDROOM. NIGHT
SELINA KYLE is changing into the the CATWOMAN (ANIMATED
SUIT).
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
The cat is hard to ignore,
especially when she’s right. The

liquor to forget who I really am.
And it wasn’t long before I felt
right at home again.
SELINA KYLE is now fully suited and has transformed into
the feline anti-hero CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT)
CATWOMAN (ANIMATED SUIT)
Now lets go give those fat cats
some heart attacks.
INT. CATWOMAN’S HIDEOUT. NIGHT.
The hideout is in an old factory, the walls are covered in
shelving units and containers that house some of
CATWOMAN’S belongings and trophies. A large notice board
is on one wall with a map of Gotham covering it. It is
surrounded by news paper clippings from past heists and
encounters.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) is reviewing data for a job to
seal a DIAMOND NECKLACE from the crime boss BLACK MASK.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Weeks went by and I made a few
changes, I changed my skin to
suit the new Gotham city. And I
changed the locations of some of
its most valuable pieces of art
and jewellery from the safes and
mansions of Gotham’s finest and
freakish to my private
collection.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) pauses at a PHOTOGRAPH of the
DIAMOND NECKLACE.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT)
Oh sweetie, you’re gorgeous.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Things just like this one.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) continues her preparation for the
up coming job.

I won’t lie to you, it was an
awful lot of fun being back out
there.

CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Out on the rooftops of Gotham, my

items and finding a way to make
them mine.
INT. WAYNE MANOR. NIGHT.

I stole from everyone, Black

Bruce, but that was purely
business. No hard feelings honey.
INT. GOTHAM CITY SEWER SYSTEM. NIGHT.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) drops into the sewers, she is
being chased and is looking around nervously.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
It wasn’t fun all of the time
though.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT)
*huff* *huff* Where are you?
A low rumbling growl reverberates though the enclosed,
stone channels of the sewer.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: (2) 4.
KILLER CROC
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) begins to run through the sewers.
KILLER CROC appears behind her and barrels towards her.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) reaches the end of the tunnel and
leaps into the air with KILLER CROC close behind her.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) clasps her hands around a hanging
chain and using her momentum swings out of the reach of
KILLER CROC who falls into the darkness.
KILLER CROC manages to claw at CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT)
cutting though the back of her suit.
KILLER CROC disappears from sight. His voice echoes out
though the cavernous room.
KILLER CROC (cont’d)
I’ll find you cat! I’ve tasted
you now. You can’t hide from
Croc!
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) swings onto a ledge and lets go of
the chain.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT)
I doubt that Croc, and neither
will your boss.
INT. RESTAURANT. NIGHT.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) is tied to a chair in the center
of a huge dining room. Besides her is a table where here
GOGGLES, WHIP and a BASTET STATUE is sitting. TALIA AL
GHUL is circling in the shadows.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Looks like I was wrong about that
one too. His boss did find me,
and was just as unpleasant, she
smelt worse than rotting fish.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT)
And if I don’t join your little
"team?"
TALIA AL GHUL
The Gotham river will have
another cat filled sack at the
bottom of it.
TALIA AL GHUL picks up the BASTET STATUE from the table
and walks away from the light.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: (2) 5.
TALIA AL GHUL (cont’d)
I’ll give you some time to think
this through, This is a life
changing decision after all...
TALIA AL GHUL leaves CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) alone to
decide.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
Again I’m wondering if I made the
right call with this one. Maybe
if I had just said yes I wouldn’t
be bleeding out in the rain.
INT. RESTAURANT. NIGHT.
CATWOMAN (GOGGLES SUIT) has escaped from her bindings and
fled. TALIA AL GHUL returns to the dining room to find an
empty chair.
TALIA AL GHUL
Poor choice, we could have owned
this city.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
But which is better? To go out on
your feet or make a deal with the
devil? I know which I’d choose
every time.
EXT. ROOF TOP. GOTHAM CITY. NIGHT
DEADSHOT has chased CATWOMAN across the city and cornered
her on top of a skyscraper. Thunder rumbles in the
distance as a storm moves in.
CATWOMAN
You just don’t quit do you?
DEADSHOT
You pay for the best, that’s what
you get.
CATWOMAN
So its all about the money?
DEADSHOT
Not at all, Its mainly the joy of
the kill, the thrill of the hunt.
I thought you’d understand that,
being a predator.
The storm has closed in and rain is beginning to fall.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: (2) 6.
CATWOMAN
I don’t kill people for a living.
DEADSHOT
No you just steal from some
powerful and angry people. all of
whom want you dead and I’m more
than happy to oblige.
DEADSHOT opens the claps on his HOLSTER.
CATWOMAN tightens the grip on her WHIP.
CATWOMAN
So this is it? you’re just going
to gun me down like a Mafia goon?
You said you’re the best, this is
just amateurish.
DEADSHOT
Believe me sweetheart I could
have ended you several times over
in the past week, all of which
from distances of at least one
thousand yards. And you know why
I didn’t?
CATWOMAN
Why?
In one swift movement DEADSHOT pulls a PISTOL from his
holster and shoots CATWOMAN.
CATWOMAN (cont’d)
Arrgh!
CATWOMAN crumples to the floor clutching her wound.
DEADSHOT holsters his PISTOL, walks over to CATWOMAN and
kneels down beside her.
DEADSHOT
I did it so I could watch you
squirm.
CATWOMAN
I’ll kill you.
DEADSHOT
I doubt that very much, I hate to
inform you that you’ve been the
mouse all along. You were a
puppet from the start. Haven’t
you ever wondered what it was
that got you to put on the suit
again? It wasn’t just a twist of
fate.
7.
INT. NIGHT CLUB. NIGHT.
SELINA KYLE is in the crowd dancing to the music of a live
band. She is alone but enjoying herself none the less.
DEADSHOT
(voice over)
They had been watching you for a
while, they wanted you, they
needed you.
SELINA KYLE makes her way though the crowd to the bar and
orders a drink.
The BARMAN drops a small CAPSULE into the drink and stirs
it to help it dissolve.
SELINA KYLE takes the drink and swallows it quickly.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
(voice over)
They were building an empire and
they wanted you more than
anything it became an obsession,
but you know what that’s like
don’t you.
EXT. ROOF TOP. GOTHAM CITY. NIGHT
DEADSHOT is still hunched over the wounded CATWOMAN.
DEADSHOT
We can’t blame you for that
though, he is an intriguing
character. Oh that’s right you’re
expecting him to save you aren’t
you? That almost spoils it, I
thought you were a worthy
opponent.
CATWOMAN begins to slowly shuffle backwards away from
DEADSHOT.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
I’m starting to think I’m wasting
my time with you now.
DEADSHOT pounces on top of the wounded CATWOMAN.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
Maybe I should make this quick.
CATWOMAN meets DEADSHOT’S gaze, fury burning in her eyes.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: (2) 8.
CATWOMAN
There’s only one problem with
that.
DEADSHOT
And that is?
A smile curls in the corner of CATWOMAN’S mouth.
CATWOMAN
You assume that I’m done.
DEADSHOT
Huh?
CATWOMAN swiftly raises a knee into DEADSHOT’S groin
stunning him.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
Guhhhh!
CATWOMAN uses her good arm and rakes a gloved hand down
DEADSHOT’S face cutting into his mask and drawing blood.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
Agh!
CATWOMAN uses all her strength to fling the dazed DEADSHOT
over her head and long the ground until he slides to a
stop close to the edge of the building.
CATWOMAN rolls onto the front and hops to her feet.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
I’ll kill you, you witch!
DEADSHOT reaches for his PISTOL. It is knocked from his
hand buy a lick from CATWOMAN’S WHIP.
The PISTOL scuttles along the roof away from DEADSHOT.
DEADSHOT picks himself up and stands before CATWOMAN once
more.
DEADSHOT (cont’d)
Well played kitten, maybe you
were worthy of my time all along.
But now it is you who is making
assumptions.
A small calibre PISTOL slides out of DEADSHOT’S coat
sleeve and into his waiting hand.
Before he can raise his arm to fire, CATWOMAN launches he
WHIP into the air and clasps the tip around DEADSHOT’S
leg.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: (3) 9.
CATWOMAN yanks on the WHIP with all her remaining strength
and DEADSHOT stumbles backwards towards the edge where he
begins his free fall.
CATWOMAN stands alone on the roof top, wounded and soaked.
She takes a few moments to collect herself.
CATWOMAN
(voice over)
The sooner people realise that I
don’t need a knight to come to my
rescue, the sooner they’ll stop
underestimating me. I’m not a
damsel who needs saving, I’m more
than capable of looking after
myself.
CATWOMAN turns and walks towards the other side of the
building.
CATWOMAN (cont’d)
(voice over)
Someone thinks they can
manipulate me? tame me? Its time
to show them that this cat has
claws. look out Talia, I’m on the
prowl.
CATWOMAN disappears in a flash as lightning bathes the
city in a dazzling white glow.
END.
