As part of the annual Missionary Co�Operative Program, Mrs. Maureen Heil will speak at all Masses this weekend about The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies represented here in the Archdiocese of Boston. Maureen will share stories of her experiences in the missions, and help us build a spiritual connection to others whose daily lives may be very different from ours. The Society for the Propagation of the Faith is the official mission agency of the Catholic Church dedicated to assisting and supporting lay people, priests, and religious in their evangelizing mission work. May our hearts and ears be opened by the Holy Spirit to support and pray for all missionaries and the people they serve. Thank you in advance for your prayerful support.” !

APRIL 29, 2018: FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER!
!S��� C����� �� �� V��!
For many non�churchgoers, Easter ended weeks ago. But the Easter season remains with us throughout the weeks until we celebrate the birthday of the church at
Pentecost. We have an opportunity for Easter reflection and celebration for several Sundays, so if you feel Easter passed you by, fear not.!!
Jesus tells us in John's Gospel this Sunday that he is the vine and we are the branches. We gain nourishment from the vine, and by staying firm and strong, we
bear much fruit. Whereas Lent was a time of preparation for the Easter mysteries, this season of Easter is a time to offer the spiritual fruits resulting from our prayer, fasting, and penance. Of course, the nourishment that sustained us in Lent continues into Easter and throughout the year.!!
Don't give up on Easter too soon. Stay connected to the vine and all the other branches that grow from it. They
are fellow Christians trying to testify to the kingdom of God by their lives. Allow yourself to get caught up in the celebration of the risen Lord. Be nourished and grow into the wonderful creation God has made. !

Thank you, Lord for the gift of spring…finally! How glorious it has been to see the students outside this week. They are excited to be jumping rope, playing foursquare and enjoying the great outdoors at recess time.!!
A Special Thank You to the many young families who joined us for the Animal Senses event this past Monday! It was a wonderful day and a great way to meet new, young families. We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you again soon…maybe as a student at Saint Jerome School!!!!!

Faith Community Nurses will be at Immaculate Conception Parish on Saturday, May 5 following the 4:30pm Mass and on Sunday, May 6 following the 9:00am Mass for blood pressure checks. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a symptomless, “silent killer” that quietly
damages blood vessels and leads to serious health threats. Make changes now that matter: eat a well�balanced, low�salt diet (“halt the salt”), limit alcohol, enjoy regular physical activity, manage stress, maintain a healthy weight, quit smoking, take your medications properly, work together with your doctor, and know your numbers! Checking blood pressure regularly is the only way to know if you have high blood pressure. Please stop by, say hello and let our nurses keep a check on your health!.!
