Powers: temptation, evil

Story: When God created Adam and Eve, he had one rule for them: NOT to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve was tempted by a snake to eat fruit from the tree, and then told Adam to do the same. This first disobedience of God separated humans from God and introduced sin into the world.

Weaknesses: Baptism, Jesus

Bio: in order to be considered a mortal sin, a sin needs to have three things:

1. Be a grave matter

2. Knowledge of being a sin

3. Willful intent to sin

Powers: partial loss of grace, damages your friendship with God

Location: Purgatory

Bio: a venial sin does not cause complete separation from God and lacks one of the three components of mortal sin
