Easter Collection 2019: This Easter, our parish col-
lection will benefit the Clergy Health and Retirement
Trust which cares for the needs of our 590 priests.
Our priests are always there for us; they share
Christ’s good news, perform good works, and build

Thank you for your donations left in the back of the
church. We meet every Thursday from 6:30 to
7:30pm at Fr. Thomas Hall. Through your generosi-
ty we are able to provide food vouchers to Stop &
Shop for those in need. Once a month we provide,
laundry and dish detergent, shampoo, hand soap and
tooth paste. Again we appeal to your generosity to
leave some of these items at the back of the church,
so that we may continue to do this. Saint Vincent de
Paul is not able to accept used clothing.

Gracias por sus donaciones dejadas en la entrada d
el iglesia. La Sociedad de San Vicente se reúne to-
dos los Jueves de 6:30 to 7:30pm .en el salón parro-
quial de la iglesia. A través de su generosidad he-
mos podido proveer cupones para Stop & Shop para
familias necesitadas. Una vez al mes proveemos de-
tergente para ropa y detergente para platos, champú,
jabón para las manos y pasta de dientes. Otra vez
apelamos a su generosidad para que nos dejen algu-
nos de estos artículos en la parte de
atrás de la iglesia para que podamos
continuar con esta labor. La Sociedad
de San Vicente no puede recibir ropa
usada.

entrance of the church. We no longer accept food, so
please do not leave them inside the church because
they will bring mice.

Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) New England is cel-
ebrating its 2019 Madonna Della Strada Award Cere-
mony at Boston College High School on Sunday,
April 28, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This year’s hon-
orees include St. Mary of the Angels parishioners
Kitty Ryan and Joe Vallely.
The evening begins with Mass celebrated by Father
Ken Hughes, SJ. Reception, dinner and award cere-
mony follow. The cost of the evening is $100. Some
discounted seats are available.
This is the annual IVC New England fundraiser.
Please come and celebrate the lives of Kitty and Joe,

Growing up on the edge of poverty, Hector wrestled with homelessness, and was struggling to find food. While playing basketball in a local Church league, he met Fr. Paul O’Brien, who encouraged him to go to college.
Fr. Paul was there for Hector at every step of his journey to college and beyond. With his help and guidance, Hector went on to play basketball for Regis College, graduate, and now works as a school counselor to give back to students the same hope and inspiration he received. Like Fr. Paul, our senior priests in good standing have been helping others for decades.
As we celebrate this Easter with our families and friends, please remember the Boston priests who have helped us along our life journey and consider making a gift of thanks to the special Easter collection for their health and retirement needs.
Funds from this special collection are managed by the Clergy Health and Retirement Trust – an independently managed trust with a majority lay board of trustees. The funds are used for the sole benefit of active and senior priests in good standing.
