Francis. Just because it is coming to an end does not mean we stop forgiving those who trespass against us or showing them Mercy as our Lord Jesus Christ did when he was with us on earth and in heaven.

I would like to thank everyone for assisting with making our first ever Craft Show earlier this Fall! Every time I turned around I saw another Sister walking around and viewing all of the vendor's products! Thank you once again to the committee who steering brought about the success! I am sure we will have our "annual event" next October!

Before the hustle and bustle of Advent kicks into high gear and we become concerned as to what to place under the Christmas tree, reflect on all the blessings you have experienced this year and fill your heart with love a new gratitude. So many of us are on this earth for a short time, so hug you family members a little tighter and try to forgive those who have trespassed against you.

May God continue to bless you and the ones you love.

Your Regent,

Mary Lea

Happy Thanksgiving Day Everyone!

Beat the Rush Vendor & Craft Show was a huge success!

Ten years ago when our court was formed in 2006 a group of us on the fundraising committee got together to make crafts for the St. Louis School’s St. Nick Night. We had a great time together making crafts and selling them that night. From this simple beginning the idea of a craft show of our own has been on our fundraising idea list, but how to do it without stepping on toes of our school. Two years ago we hosted our Girls Night Out with a fashion show and vendors/crafters so we were getting

closer, but as our fundraising committee started to dwindle in numbers we realized putting on another Girls Night Out which included a buffet dinner was going to be difficult. This must have been in the stars all along, our first Beat the Rush Vendor and Craft Show was held Saturday, October 29th well before the school’s St. Nick Night that St. Louis School hosts and was a great success. We hosted 25 vendors and crafters from

insurance, beauty products, home goods, American Girl Doll clothes, candy and jewelry. Our members, their friends, parishioners, and passers-by turned out in good numbers. Our vendors and crafters were happy and we have raised funds for our many charities. We will be submitting the same weekend (November 28, 2017) to the calendar committee for our 2nd Annual Beat the Rush Vendor and Craft Show next year…. Stay tuned!

These goals were approved by the bishops in November 2015.

Message: “Catholic teaching challenges voters and candidates, citizens and elected officials, to consider the moral and ethical dimensions of public policy issues. In light of ethical principles, we bishops offer the following policy goals that we hope will guide Catholics as they form their consciences and reflect on the moral dimensions of their public choices. Not all issues are equal; these ten goals address matters of different moral weight and urgency. Some involve intrinsically evil acts, which can never be approved. Others involve affirmative obligations to seek the common good. These and similar goals can help voters and candidates act on ethical principles rather than particular interests and partisan allegiances. We hope Catholics will ask candidates how they intend to help our nation pursue these important goals.
