CHRIST, KING OF ALL. On this, the final Sunday of the liturgical year, we celebrate the solemnity of Christ the King. By concluding the year with this feast we are proclaiming our faith that Jesus Christ is the one and only king over all seasons, all peoples, and all of creation. At the end of time as we know it, Christ’s work of restoring all things to unity and harmony with their Creator God will be completed.
This Sunday, when we claim Christ as both our Shepherd and our King, we recognize our own calling to participate in Christ’s saving work by caring for those whom Jesus calls “the least ones” (Matthew 25:45).

us for the benefit of our neighbors. Last FIRST SATURDAY MASS with Father Bernard Oniwe will take place on Saturday, December 2nd, at 9 am. Rosary and Confession at 8:30 am. There will be a “Farewell Reception for Sharon Hale" following the Mass in St. Andrew Hall. This
will be a pot-luck event and those interested in attending are asked to bring their favorite dish to share. Those not familiar with Sharon, among other ministries she was devoted to, (Respect Life, 40 Days, Adoration, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Grace Rosary, etc.), she was instrumental in bringing the Hearts Afire Program to the Parish when she and Doug & Family relocated to the South from Wisconsin in July 2013. Her desire to help bring us to “Jesus through Mary” was infectious and over 200 went through the program and consecration. Many thanks Sharon (and Doug for his boundless support) ~ “Well done, good and faithful servant!” We are blessed to have Maureen Kline take over the Program and she can be reached at (803) 345-8779 for any questions.

Lighthouse Catholic Ministry
Our Advent Journey Begins
What happens when the scriptural Christmas story collides with historical truths? Does it fall apart? Not one bit! What happens is that we get a more thorough understanding of both the challenges and
wonder that accompanied Christ’s birth. Dr. Scott Hahn - one of the most eminent Catholic theologians in our country today- reveals what scholars now know about the shepherds, the mysterious Magi, and King Herod. Your Advent journey will take on new meaning as you prepare your heart for the birth of our Lord. This illuminating presentation is sure to help you grow in appreciation of the greatest gift ever given to mankind - Jesus Christ.
