The Bishop’s Dinner in the Kootenay’s

The Diocesan Appeals & Special Projects Office in conjunction with the Cranbrook parishes of St. Mary’s & Christ the Servant and the East Kootenay Deanery are pleased to announce “The Bishop’s Dinner in the

Kootenay’s” will be held October 19th from 6:15 p.m. at Christ the Servant parish hall. Tickets for “The

Bishop’s Dinner in the Kootenay’s” are now available through Gerri Fletcher at 778-517-1319 or by email to: [email protected]

Tickets are $70 each and include a $30 tax receipt for the purchaser. Proceeds are in support of Seton House property enhancements, Seed funding for parish youth ministry, Capital Development needs and Servant Fund needs. Pisapio Scholarship Notice: 2nd Posting

It’s not too late to apply for a Pisapio Scholarship if you are a full-time university student starting your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a 4-year undergraduate degree. The Pisapio Scholarship was established in 1980 to support local West Koote-nay students in furthering their university education subsequent to the closing of Notre Dame University in Nelson. We are now accepting applicants for the 2019/2020 academic year; the closing date is September 25. The Diocese of Nelson is hosting the annual Western Liturgical Conference at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in West Kelowna. This is an incredible opportunity for our priests and parish representatives to receive further training in liturgy. The actual workshop be-gins on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. on Octo-ber 25th and finishes around 4:30 p.m. the next day (followed by the 5 p.m. Mass). The Pilgrimage of Faith will cover one third of the cost (application for this reimbursement should be made by the parish, with applica-ble receipts attached). Please be ad-vised that the Holiday Inn in West Kelowna will hold a block of rooms until September 24th. Registration form can be found at the Parish Office. Thank you.
