Coronavirus Restrictions
Updated 13th July 2021
At Hereford Market for the safety of our staff and customers we have been as
stringent as possible regarding the wearing of masks and distancing together with the
‘drop and go’ policy.
On Monday 19th July 2021 restrictions are to be lifted and it will be left to individuals
as to how they act. With yesterday’s cases at 34,000 (12th July) we will be asking you
to please still wear a mask and keep your distance.
Currently, with 34,000 cases per day, predicted to rise to 100,000 cases per day this
pandemic, especially the Delta strain is most definitely not yet over. Thankfully,
many of us are now ‘double-jabbed’ but there are still plenty of cases of people having
symptoms after the two vaccinations. Complacency has set in and it will be difficult
to get people to wear masks and distance again but it is massively important that this
is done to protect yourselves and our staff as we don’t want to have a breakdown in
what is our busiest time of the year, August through to mid-November. We have been
cautious for 16 months since the beginning of this pandemic but it may now be even
more important to be vigilant than at any previous time, as the amount of mixing has
increased dramatically and will increase further after 19th July. We would therefore
ask you to work with us and do as previously:
1. Act responsibly
4. Sanitise your hands
There is no need to feel self-conscious if you wear a mask and others don’t, your
health is a lot more important than ill-judged bravado!
We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
Richard Hyde MRICS MRAC for the
Directors of Hereford Market Auctioneers Ltd.
