Although I am a product designer for medical devices and consumer products,

my first love is Industrial Archeology and the re-creation of objects from our

industrial past. For many years I was a patternmaker and toolmaker for the

hobby industry, especially model railroading.

I model in SolidWorks , a leading CAD design software, using a high-end

BOXX workstation with 32 cores and 32 Gigs of RAM. I also specialize in

high-resolution photo rendering using KeyShot 4 Pro.

The models are the result of extensive research and documentation, usually

from copies of the original builder’s drawings, and are extremely accurate. For

example, my D&RG C-16 locomotive was re-created from over seventy original

drawings, and is considered the most accurate model yet of this famous

locomotive.

I undertake design programs for commercial use in plastic injection molding,

die-cast and resin cast– please contact me with your needs.

white stock. They are accurately scaled to allow direct measurement. Scales
