Message to the participatingcompanies in the Europe Auto Partsmatch-making events

Europe Autoparts is one of the six projects that have been approved by the European Commission

in the framework of the “Pan-European Business Co-operation Schemes for SMEs” (2004-2006). The

overall objective of the Pan-European Business Cooperation Schemes (PES) is to encourage an envi-

ronment favourable to Business Co-operation and Inter-Enterprise Relations in a wider Europe.

The PES support actions that:

• Exploit new business opportunities with the enlargement of the European Union,

• Develop business co-operation between SMEs from new and old member countries and candidate

countries,

• Prepare SMEs from the European Union for enlargement challenges, and SMEs from Candidate

Countries to the internal market requirements.

In the current context of globalization, Europe needs competitive SMEs. One of the most important

factors in the competitiveness of SMEs today is their ability to respond and adapt to changing cir-

cumstances and their capacity for engaging in international business cooperation. Europe Auto Parts

represents a reply to this challenge as it will support SMEs from the car components sector in their way

towards internationalisation, through activities and strategies based on business co-operation. It will

facilitate the access of SMEs to growing and dynamic markets and help them to seize the opportunities

raised by the enlarged Internal Market.

The European Commission will follow with a particular attention the developments of the Europe

Autoparts as its objectives consist of setting-up new business contact and establishing strategic al-

liances and future partnerships that are necessary to become or remain competitive and successful

on international markets. These objectives will be pursued during international fairs. In this context,

I would like to encourage the participating companies in the EQUIP AUTO 05 Fair to consider their

business to business meetings as an opportunity of establishing long-term mutually benefi tial partner-

ships.

We would like to thank the Europe Auto Parts organisers for their efforts and we wish all of you a successful event with fruitful contacts and meetings.

I want to congratulate to all those that have decided to participate in this business meeting that

will launch a dynamic process of enhanced business co-operation in the car parts sector in Europe.

This initiative gives us the possibility of exploiting new business opportunities in the enlarged European

Union. During 14th and 15th of October, EQUIP AUTO 05 will be the scenery in which business men from

all Europe are going to speak the same language. The language of the common interests, the one of

the cooperation and the dialogue. Moments that must be taken advantage to settle the foundations

on which to construct future businesses and extending our markets.

I’m pleased to invite you to share experiences that, by their features, surely will take time in repeat-

ing, and I want to express you my conviction that your participation will have positive effects not only

on your companies but on the assembly of the economy of our regions. I would also wish that the

same effort that a team of professionals has employed to organize this event, was transmitted by you

at the time of supporting these and future initiatives that consolidate our presence in the foreign. In

this sense, CREA will continue working to offer you the biggest facilities and services to contribute

this is possible.
