The thermo switch O operates independently from any power supply. The temperature is detected through a bimetal disk specified in accordance with the required switch-on temperature TE. When this fixed switch-on temperature TE is reached, this bimetal disk will snap over, closing a contact system thus closing the electric circuit of the device to be started. After cooling down and reaching the cut-off temperature TA, the bimetal disk will automatically return to its original position and open the contact. The electric circuit is opened again.

The temperature detector P is used wherever protection against over-temperature is required. Specific applications include: protection of primary windings in transformers, winding protection in small electric motors and general temperature protection of small electric equipment.

In order to prevent any automatic reset function of the device when the switch cools down again, the switch is equipped with an electrical self-holding resistor inside.

The temperature limiter Q is used wherever, on the one hand, protection against over-temperature is required, and, on the other hand, automatic cut-in of the device to be protected - subsequent to a follow-on cooling down period - is undesirable or not permissible.

When the temperature rises and reaches the fixed operating temperature, a contact system opens (NC) or closes (NO) the electrical current circuit. After cooling down the contact system returns back to its original position (automatically reset function). Within its nominal power conditions the limiter TB 97 works independently from any power supply. If thermal overload protection is needed, a simple, reliable and price competitive solution is available in the TB97. The TB97 is based on reliable bimetal snap-disk technology and specifically designed for applications when high operating temperatures (from 200°C up to 450°C) are required.Even if the operating temperature is higher than 400°C the tolerance is within ± 15K.

Typical applications are: electrical ovens, heating plates, barbeque equipments, industrial usage like welding machines and soldering machines.

If control voltage is applied to the control leads, the working contact closes with a time-delayed feature.This contact system is galvanically isolated from the control leads.After removing control voltage the contact keeps closed for another

delayed time which depends on the surrounding temperatureand that the time control voltage was present.

These switches are used whenever electrical components should be switched delayed in a simple and particular way. Typical applications are time-delayed turnoffs of fans ventila-

The Thermal Overload Protector type BM-1 is an electromechanical safety device, which provides complete protection to your electrical equipment against over-heating, overloading and mechanical malfunctions. After the temperature cools down the thermo switch closes its contacts again (auto reset function). The BM-1 response is determined by current sensitivity. This property can be influenced by the selection of a different kind of bimetal material and it has UL and VDE approval. BM-1 is available with blank terminals or with connecting leads. Insulation of housing by sleeving is available. For use under vacuum conditions, please use the sealed version of the BM-1.

The thermal overload protector type BM-1 is an electromechanical safety device, which provides complete protection to your electrical equipment against over-heating, over-loading and mechanical malfunctions. After the temperature cools down the thermo switch closes its contacts again (auto reset function).

The TM1 series thermal motor protector is single pole and is normally not current sensitive when operating in its nominal current range. There are different versions for nominal current value: 2.5; 5 or 10 amps available. The operating principle of TM1 is both simple and effective. When a fault

condition occurs, the increased current and ambient temperature make the bimetal disk snap, which opens the protector contacts.The contacts close again automatically as the device cools down to a safe operating temperature (automatic reset function).

Contact configuration has two modes: normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO).

The housing, the covering cap and the attachmentsare free of voltage. The thermal fuse (cutoff) DF provides a simple solution to protect even the smallest electrical devices against thermal overloading. If the customer’s appliance gets too hot, the thermal fuse will interrupt the current cir-cuit to maintain its proper and safe function. The thermal fuse DF is a one shot device, in which after usage, its operating function needs to be replaced.

The thermal fuse (cut off) offers the ability to provide a simiple solution to interrupt the current circuit in case of overloading. The thermal fuse is a one shot device that requires replacement after operations. With reference to size, construction and nomi-nal current value (1 to 16 Ampere) there are wide product ranges available for supply.
