    Application example corridor and staircase

Looking for the light switch in the staircase or the corridor? Such worries are now a thing of the past. The move-

ment detector Basic 120 switches the light on in the typical areas it is needed, when it is needed. It is practicalfor the user and guarantees a good level of security at all times. In this way, the movement detector Basic 120helps you save energy conveniently.

    Movement and presencedetectors for residential

Fully loaded with shopping in a dark staircase? Looking forthe light switch while carrying a washing basket down tothe cellar?

Schneider Electric movement and presence detectorsmake life more convenient. As soon as a person entersthe monitored area, the lighting switches on. Convenient,

reliable and efcient. It also has a positive effect on yourenergy bill: the load is switched off again according to yourindividual settings. Is not it nice when convenience andenergy saving go hand-in-hand?

    Application example living room

Who would have imagined it? The presence detector Medium 180 ensures real comfort in the living room.

The precise presence detection leaves the light on as long as the room is in use. And if you want to get a bitcosier in front of the TV, the automatic movement and presence detection can simply be switched off usingthe integrated push-button. That is the life.

    Application example bathroom

Need to go to the bathroom in the dark at night? Thanks to the movement detector Basic 120, the light in thecorridor and the bathroom switches on automatically, then goes off again after a pre-determined time. You canfind your way there and back comfortably and safely.

    Application example corridors

Long halls such as those in schools are an ideal location to use the presence detector Advanced 180. Whenthere is movement in the halls during break time, the lighting is activated safely and reliably. The higher mountingposition allows for an extended area of detection, while at the same time affording greater damage protection.Multiple units can be linked together in master-slave mode to further increase energy efficiency and guaranteecomplete monitor coverage.

    Movement and presencedetectors for buildings

    Application example foyers and washrooms

The movement detector Basic 120 keeps a close eye on your energy costs. The light switches on in the foyer orthe washrooms whenever it is needed. For employees and visitors, this offers safety and convenience. For thecompany, it offers a welcome contribution to energy savings.

    Application example conference room

Lights on when everyone is in the meeting! The presence detector Medium 180 switches on reliably as soon asthe room is in use. If all attention should be on the video projector presentation, the lighting can simply be switchedoff with the integrated push-button. This way, convenience and saving energy go hand in hand.

    Application example ofce

In offices of all sizes, energy efficiency is at the top of the agenda. With the presence detector Advanced 180,there is now an energy-saving lighting control system which is also suitable for open spatial structures. Thanksto the raised mounting location, even areas behind furniture are covered. Coupling multiple presence detectorsin master-slave mode allows customised application scenarios and guarantees full monitoring coverage.

    High-resolution lenses

The detection capabilities of movement and presencedetectors are a clear sign of their quality. The high-resolution lenses used here deliver optimum resultsand do not miss a single movement.

    Resistant to faults

Detection precision and fault resistance are carefullycoordinated with each other. Due to this, the move-ment and presence detectors have proven to beinsensitive to white light and electrical noise.

Movement and presence detectors have a lot going forthem. Schneider Electric has combined innovativetechnology with practical details. That is how efcientsolutions for modern buildings are created.

    Movement detector Basic 120

The Basic model has a horizontal angle of detection of120. When installed at a height between 1 metre and1.40 metres, this means it detects movement within anarea of 120 m.

    Presence detector Medium 180

The Medium model has an extended angle ofdetection of 180. The Medium presence detectorregisters presence within an area of 128 m andmovement within an area of 200 m.

    Presence detector Advanced 180

The Advanced model has the added advantage of an

extended vertical area of detection. At an installationheight of 2 metres to 2.40 metres its vertical angle ofdetection is 55. The Advanced presence detectorthus covers an area of 98 m for presence detectionand an area of 200 m for movement detection.

    Simple installation

Schneider Electric movement and presence detectorsscore points right from the installation stage. With amounting depth of only 14 mm, installation is simplerthan ever before. There is enough space in the flush-mounted mounting box for a clean cable line. Thescrewless cable clamps make the electricians jobeasier. Simply insert the cables the easy-to-handleclamps guarantee safe and reliable contact.

    easyinstallation

    Light and time adjustment

The movement and presence detectors work to the

demands of their environment. The brightness thres-hold and the timings can be adjusted according tothe situation. The time setting is infinitely variable ina range of 1 second to 20 minutes.

    Field of view limitation

On the Advanced and Medium models, the area ofdetection is divided into a number of segments sothat it can be switched in 3 respectively 7 differentcombinations. This precise setting allows you tocompletely eliminate any possibility of faults. Inaddition to this, the sensitivity of the detection canalso be adjusted on the Medium and Advancedpresence detectors. For locations with a highfrequency of movement, a low level of sensitivity

can be assigned. If movement is likely to be lessfrequent, a high level of sensitivity can be used.

    Mode selector

The modes of the Medium and Advanced movement

and presence detectors can be conveniently configuredon-site to suit individual requirements.

    Automatic mode (A)

The lighting is switched on as soon as a movement isdetected and the amount of light has fallen below apre-determined threshold.

    Manual mode (semi-automatic) (M)

The detector is activated using an external push-button or the integrated push-button.

    Slave mode (S)

In order to provide complete coverage of larger areas, multiple movement detectors can be linked to eachother. One device (master) is used as the controller,

the other devices (slaves) deliver switch impulses tothe master.
