As with many young people who make the migration to San Francisco, Claire George and Eric Silverman felt fullyliberated from the constraints of their previous social lives. When they met and decided to form The Tropics, the twoalready shared an immediate, unspoken understanding - what they were setting out to create was the antidote to astilted scene culture: a free, complete expression of who they were. Nowhere is this more apparent than in their newvideo for Fireproof - a truly captivating and hilarious tongue-in-cheek, shot-for-shot remake of Good Vibrations byMarky Mark, which premiered on Stereogum earlier in October. The band's debut, Wind House, is composed of fiveflawless tracks ushered into the world by producer Patrick Brown at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco.

own brand of Dub from New Orleans.
