Determining Your Price• This catalog is arranged for easy reference and pricing. Five column pric-ing makes it easy to calculate your cost. Each product number is pricedat quantity ordered for that particular item. To receive 4th column pricingon items under 5000 quantity see Mix & Match discount.

Minimum Order• The minimum order is one half case.

Mix & Match on Instock Items• Mix & Match any size, style or season (currently in stock). Order a totalof 25,000 and receive fourth column pricing. Minimum quantity for eachstyle or size is 1,000. Orders less than 1,000 are priced at the secondcolumn price.

Our boxes are designed and constructed to help sell your product, sowe advise you to request a sample before ordering, to be sure of thebest possible fit. We list approximate content weight in the catalog, butyou should test a box to be sure it suits your specific productapplication. We will ship one (1) sample of any stock item freight free(U.S. Postal Service only) anywhere in the U.S.

Terms

Net 30 days, U.S. funds only. After 30 days past due, a service chargeof 1 1/2% per month is added, and account is subject to credit hold.Returned checks incur a $30.00 service charge. Open account status isdependent on timely payment, and future orders may be held up if pastdue accounts are not reconciled. Payments are applied to matching oroldest invoice.

Returns

We warrant our products against faulty workmanship and materials, andwill replace any item if we have made an error.

Contact our Customer Service Department before returning merchandise if any item fails to meet your expectations-it must bereturned, unused and undamaged, within 30 days of the invoicedate, with prior authorization from Impress packaging, to receive credit. Items returned without prior authorization may not becredited.

If you have made an error in ordering, you may return plain boxes andaccessories that are not hot stamped, imprinted or opened. You mustobtain prior authorization, and will be charged for round-trip freight anda restocking fee of 10% or $25.00, whichever is greater. Resealedshipping cases can NOT be returned. Check product number beforeopening case.

All returns must include the order number, customer number, and invoicenumber to insure proper credit.

Impress Packag ing will not be held responsible for damages resulting from a customer error-our liability is limited to the value of ourmanufactured product. In order to inspect and correct, we reserve theright to request product return.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: What is the difference between Stock and Custom

packaging?A: Think of Stock as “off-the-shelf” you can order it as shown in the cat-alog, by product number, for immediate delivery, minimum orderquantity per item is 1/2 case (not all items shown are in stock).Custom Packaging is manufactured in a separate run on a pre-orderbasis. It can be either a standard Impress Packag ing size/style or anon-standard construction.

Q: What is standard Impress Packaging packaging?A: Any size or style shown in this catalog.

Q: What is a plain box?A: This is how a product can be ordered from in stock: any ImpressPackag ing folded box shipped directly off the shelf without any foilstamping of imprinting.

Q: What is the difference between imprinting and foil stamping?

A: Both processes can add graphics (your logo, ingredients, etc.) to cus-tomize a folding box. Imprinting uses ink, while foil stamping uses foil-creating a metallic effect. We offer either option for the same price!

Q: What is “artwork”?A: When you're having a box imprinted or foil stamped, this is typically thelogo, design or wording that will appear on the box. Sometimes called“camera ready” or “black and white art”, this artwork can also be pre-pared digitally by computer program, and submitted by the customeror prepared by Impress Packag ing to your specifications.

Q: What are some advantages of the Impress Packaging foldingbox?

A: It's shipped flat, so it requires minimum storage space, and is easy toassemble. We offer a variety of attractive designs in a wide range ofconstruction styles.

Q: How safe are the materials?A: All packaging components comply with FDA standards, so use themwith confidence. Impress Packag ing boxes are made of FDAapproved solid bleached sulfate folding board.

Q: Are 2 piece folding boxes less expensive than setup boxes?A: Yes, and the larger the quantity, the greater the savings.

Q: What is a grease resistant box?A: This is a box that’s poly coated to stop oils from bleeding through.

Do you want exact quantities? We will imprint or foil stamp the exact number of boxes you require.“No overrun or underrun,” should be specified on the order, if exactquantity is needed.

Large imprinted or stamped areas-no premium charge.For most customer situations, including 60-70% copy area coverage,the rates in the above chart apply. However, we must use adifferent manufacturing process when printing an entire box surface with an overall solid color. In this case, we require aminimum order of 10,000 boxes and a longer lead time, and 10%overruns/underruns apply. For further details, see “CustomPackaging” on page 41.

Imprint-Hot Stamping

Art and plate chargesThis is the charge for producing new or revised art, and the platesthat apply your image to the boxes. We will give you a cost estimatebefore starting the process.We keep your imprint/stamping plates on file for four (4) years afterthe last use. After that time, you will be charged for new plates.Changing an imprint into a foil stamp involves a different process,and you will be charged for a new plate from your imprint art on file.You will be invoiced for art and plate charges when your order ships,or within 60 days of order entry, if that happens sooner. ImpressPackag ing artwork on imprint orders that are cancelled will be billed.Customer furnished artwork: we are not responsible for errors, andcustomer has sole responsibility for trademark/copyright compliancein using logos, symbols or marks in imprinting artwork.

Imprinting and Hot Stamping - continuedLimitations of Foil StampingComplex designs and fine details may present challenges in reproduc-tion. Simple designs are often the most effective. If you wish to changea design from imprinting to foil stamping, Impress Packaging will adviseyou on suitability, and new plate cost.

Press ProofsImpress Packaging will mail a photocopy or fax a proof of artwork andlayout for your approval. We must have a signed proof before pro-ceeding with plates and scheduling production, so a promptapproval will expedite your order. There is no charge for theseproofs. For an imprinting or foil stamping press proof, a charge of$75.00 per color will be added to any art and plate charges.

Tips for Order Preparation

1. Remember, a simple design will give the best results.2. Be sure to print the copy exactly as you want it to appear on the box,using the blank side of the Order Form.

3. Impress Packaging will prepare your artwork for a nominal charge,for the best results.

4. Please mail original artwork, if you have it, to Impress Packaging, attn: Graphic Services - we will evaluate it before you order. Pack it with care; artwork must not be folded, stapled or bent.

5. Photocopies or faxed artwork are not acceptable for reproduction. Werequire CLEAN black and white art, or computer created digital art.

6. Illustrations in your artwork must consist of clean black line drawings-we cannot use shading, halftone screens/tints, pencil sketches, art oncolored backgrounds or foil labels for reproduction. Broken letters orlines will give poor results.

How to Qualify for a Quantity Discount...Customers who order 20,000 or more of one stock product number, to be shipped at one time, qualify for an additional discount that reflects aprice lower than the Impress Packaging list price. The order may be a custom manufactured item, following conditions described on this page. Theminimum quantity is 20,000 of one product number, to credit approved customers.

Guidelines for Ordering Custom PackagingDetermine the size box you need.First, you need to consider the size and construction of a suitable box foryour product. Impress Packaging offers many standard sizes, shown inthis catalog, that may help you plan-samples are readily available.

Determine whether a standard size/style will work.If you find that none of the standard boxes will work for you, ourStructural Design department can create exactly the size and styleyou need. Note that additional time is required for this service. You savemoney if you use similar-sized Impress Packaging standard styles andsizes, and pricing is available by phone.

Minimum order quantities5,000 per copy for both standard and non-standard constructions. 10%overrun/underrun applies. Cost savings are associated with standardconstruction.

Available ink colorsWe can reproduce standard and special PMS colors suitable to your cus-tom design. We use a standard aqueous gloss coating as a final finish toprotect your printed graphic design. Many different coatings are avail-able.

Custom Packaging

You may submit camera-ready artwork or have the Graphic Servicesdepartment produce custom art at a nominal charge.

Standard turnaround timeFor boxes without imprinting, 4 weeks-from receipt of credit-approvedorder, if a proof is approved no less than 2 weeks before the promisedshipping date. For boxes with imprinting or foil stamping, allow 6 weeks,with proof approval no less than 4 weeks before the promised shippingdate.

Prep chargesAny required proofs or plates will be billed at cost. Credit approval required before any preparatory work, including artwork, can be started.

Preparing a Custom Packaging OrderYou must use a company purchase order or written confirmation on company letterhead, separate from the standard order form, when entering a custom packaging order. This procedure is also required whenplacing stock orders for quantities over 20,000 pieces. Custom packaging orders cannot be assorted with Impress Packaging stockitems for quantity pricing.

What is Custom Packaging?When our customers need a box construction or graphic treatment not included in our stock selection, we are able to fulfill highly specialized requestsin special production runs using up to six printed colors, and boards up to 36 pt. thick. Folding boxes will be designed, manufactured and printedaccording to your exact specifications!
