ABB Electrical Wiring Accessories (EWA)

ABB first started EWA production and development in Germany over 130 years ago. In 1879 Hans-

Curt Jaeger together with his brother Georg founded a metal ware factory in Luedenscheid, Germany,

which later became the market leader in Electrical Wiring Accessories in Germany under the brand

name of Busch-Jaeger Elektro. In 1969 Busch-Jaeger became part of BBC (today, the ABB Group)

selling over 5,700 types of products to countries all over the world.

Based on this history, ABB is now producing EWA products in over 10 factories, achieving market

leading position in many markets around the globe.

Introduction to ABB

In India

ABB in India set up its first wiring accessories manufacturing unit in Haridwar

in Uttarkhansd in the year 2006. Since then switch ranges such as

Classique, Lumina and Cheiron have been developed to cater to the Indian

market.

Switches

- Designed by Busch-Jaeger, Germany exclusively for Asian

market

- Inner rocker & Base are made of AKULON, which is totally

flame retardant and have much better electrical and thermal

properties compared to polycarbonate.

- All metal parts are independent and completely revertless

design which ensure longer life.

- New insulated extension terminal for Through - & - Through

connection

- Silver tip contacts for better conductivity

- Specially designed sockets, which perfectly match both 2 &

3 Pin plug tops.

- The new dimple provided in the socket clip gives proper

contact for Nokia Mobile Chargers.

- Specially designed shutter which slides smoothly even with

2 pin plugs no need to use a pencil or screwdriver to push

the shutter down!!

- Phosphorous bronze L&N Clips for better conductivity &

elasticity

- All plastic parts are made of polycarbonate Lexon 243R

- Wide Variety of sockets in both 2Module as well as 3Module

- Intel socket which accommodates all type of plug tops.

- Extra slim plates, but strong & flexible, which match perfectly

with any surface

- Metal inserts in mounting area for better durability

- Both inner and outer plates are made of Polycarbonate, GE,

LED Lamp) and Power sockets. For other ABB wiring

accessories the warrantee will be for 2 Years. ABB

mounting boxes are not covered under warrantee.

Warrantee for all the products will not be valid: If

devices are not used with original ABB Mounting

Boxes If devices are altered, dismantled, rectified or

tempered. Warrantee States Company's entire

liability. This does not extend to cover consequential

loses or damage or installation cost arising from

defective products. Since product improvement is a

continuous process, the data furnished in this
