Road BH in the Tour
Yellow passionSOJASUNCompeting in the Tour de France
The Sojasun team, equipped
with G6 and Aerolight frames by
BH, will take off from the starting
line in the 2013 Tour de France
in Porto-Vecchio. This is a very
special edition of the Tour as the
race celebrates its one-hundredth
anniversary.
With over 80 victories in the last four
seasons and earning 1st place in
the 2012 UCI Europe Tour, the team
under Stéphane Heulot’s lead, will
face this season with a primary goal:
to continue growing and to take
their place in the elite cycling world.
Thus far in the season, Sojasun has
earned 3 wins with Jonathan Hivert,
the overall in the Étoile de Besseges
and two stages of the Route of the
Sun race. Participation in the Tour
is a prestigious accomplishment for
the group, recognition of months of
work.
The team’s slogan is “The leader
of the team is the team itself”,
representing their training values
which, according to Stéphane
Heulot, are “above all, a great team,
everyone contributes and if we are
known for anything it is for being
bold and conquering”.
Thus, the Sojasun team will make
its debut in the 2013 Tour de France
with the G6, a bicycle manufactured
from a single piece of carbon,
offering it lightness and rigidity as
well as an enormous power from
the first turn of the pedals.
Burgos BHSupporting the learning and training of promising young athletes
Burgos-BH is a Continental UCI
team which has the primary function
of training and teaching young and
promising racers as well as more
established athletes. The team aims
to be an example and a model
for cyclists wishing to enter in the
professional cycling world. The team
competes with the G6.
Vienne–FuturoscopeCompetition, development and training... Cycling in its purest state
Created in March of 2006, the
Vienne-Futuroscope team of
female cyclists began competing
in the 2007 season and has since
collaborated in the development
and training of young female
cyclists. As a team, the UCI
participates on an international level,
with successes beyond the French
borders.
Currently, its racers include Audrey
Cordon, an important name in the
present and future of female cycling.
Synergy BakuExtending our passion for cycling across Asia
The new cycling team, Synergy
Baku is present this season with the
goal of earning a spot on the squad
and making a name for themselves
in the international cycling world.
This project, created by David
McQuaid, eldest son of the UCI
President, together with the Cycling
Federation of Azerbaijan, has the
goal of raising the level of cycling in
this Asian country.
Pauline Petit“I face all terrains at top speed”
Over the past season, BH has
signed on a new and promising
young French Enduro athlete,
Pauline Petit, currently one of the
top racers. At only 25 years of age,
she already gained considerable
experience in Mtb, a discipline
that she has set aside in order to
concentrate fully on Enduro.
Pauline will compete with the Lynx
6, the most aggressive of the BH
models. This kilometre-devouring
bike in the hands of one of the
best riders of the moment: an
intimidating combination for 2013.
According to Pauline Petit, the Lynx
6 is “an aggressive bicycle, to face
all terrains at top speed”.
Last year, Petit finished third in the
Avalanche Cup Lyon, and earned
second place in the Enduro Roc
and Regional Enduro Championship
of Languedoc Roussillon. In
2011 she finished first in the Maxi
Avalanche Cervinia and in 2010
she also won first place in the
Europe Cup Overall Rankings (Maxi
Avalanche).

TriathlonBH Team, the team of Eneko Llanos and emerging stars
The BH Team has begun the
2013 season with some important
victories by practically all of its
members. Each of the races held
has displayed the individual strength
of these athletes who compete in
three different disciplines, obtaining
enviable results season after
season.
The team includes legendary
triathlete Eneko Llanos who
has conquered two of the most
important international podiums,
both in Abu Dhabi and in the
Melbourne Ironman. Along with
Llanos are some promising young
athletes who form the BH Team,
including Fernando Alarza, Mario
Mola and Portugal’s Joao Silva.
In addition, female athletes are
currently rising in this sport, so
dominated by males. Recently
incorporated Gurutze Frades
competes side by side with Catriona
Morrison, who is no stranger to the
podium.
Eneko Llos“It would be a great goal to win Hawaii in under eight hours”
Llanos is currently the Long
Distance Triathlon World
Championship runner-up, in a 2012
competition held in his birthplace,
Vitoria-Gasteiz. Eneko continues
to top the Ironman charts where
his incredible physical condition
has led him to top 10 finishes on 3
occasions in the Hawaii Ironman,
including one silver medal. This
year, Llanos has already won the
prestigious Melbourne Ironman title.
Mario Mola“I hope to battle for a medal in the Rio Olympic Games”
After a Junior career that was
filled with victories, Mario Mola
has managed to enter the sport’s
elite, earning his first podiums in
World Cup races. Focused on
the triathlon, he aims to continue
growing in order to compete in the
upcoming Olympic Games.
Joao Silva“This season, I have no limits”
Despite his youth, this Portuguese
triathlete has an impressive list of
accomplishments, with 2011 wins
at the Garmin Barcelona Triathlon
as well as the Dextro Energy Series
in Yokohama and in 2010 in the
ETU U23 European Championship.
Patient and disciplined, Silva is
already a real force in the world of
the triathlon, no longer merely a
promise.
Ferndo Aza“BH is a global power in the cycling segment”
A good swimmer, a great biker, a
very consistent runner and a racing
attitude that is rarely on display--
all of these make him the national
triathlete of the future together with
the great Mario Mola. Proof of this
is his recent victory in the 2012
Spanish Absoluto triathlon.
Catriona Morrison“I train mainly in Scotland but I spend as much time as possible in Spain during the winter”
Catriona Morrison is currently one
of the most important triathletes,
as demonstrated by her impressive
list of accomplishments. She has
earned three first place wins in
the Texas Ironman, the Ironman
70.3 Texas and the Ironman 70.3
St Croix, in addition to a bronze
medal in the Abu Dhabi International
Triathlon. All of this, even after
admitting to having Achilles tendon
issues over the past seasons.
Gurutze Fd“Participating in triathlons fulfils me, it makes me feel good. I don’t know how to really explain it, I think it is called delayed compensation”
Gurutze Frades is one of the primary
triathletes on the national front.
The Vizcaya athlete began to truly
dedicate himself to the triathlon in
2009. Since then, this evolution has
moved him from top ten positions
in 2009, to podium wins in 2010
and victories in 2011 and 2012. In
2012 he was Spanish champion in
the long distance triathlon and this
year he already has earned various
podium positions.
Mikel Elzab“I am a triathlete because I can continue to enjoy and practice a sport that is my passion, and that is cycling. And because I like to challenge myself every day”
A passionate cyclist, he first began
competing in cycling. Later, he
dedicated himself to the duathlon
and he now forms a part of the
triathlon’s elite. Recently joining the
BH Team, this athlete from Vizcaya
hopes to earn a spot in the Kona
Ironman.

semi-sloping geometry of the Quartz is ideal
for a wide range of riders since it can satisfy
all their needs.
Its reactive, aerodynamic and precise frame
works to its full capacity and offers great
stability and comfort to the rider.
Maximum stiffness without sacrifi cing the aerodynamics
The key parts of the G6’s frame have been
oversized in order to achieve maximum
stiffness without sacrifi cing its aerodynamic
design.
The G6 maximises the lateral stiffness by
resizing the stays, the model 386 bottom
bracket offers more strength to the frame
tubes and the head tube with a 1.5” bearing
maximises the strength in that area.
All these contribute to achieve high speeds,
even on winding roads or alternating bends,
since they allow the bike to be ridden with
precision on the chosen course without
experiencing any form of turbulence.
100% stiff, 100% light
The Ultralight achieves something almost
unthinkable: it combines absolute and total
stiffness with stylised and extremely light
tubes.
This machine achieves absolute total stiffness
both vertically and laterally since it does not fl ex when power is demanded from it.
BH has balanced this complex equation
thanks to a triple combination: the tube of
the seat at the bottom bracket has been
widened, the head tube with a 1.5” bearing
maximises the strength of that area and the
innovative model 386 bottom bracket offers
greater strength to the tubes of the frame
and provides greater resistance.
The result is an ultra light, reactive and
explosive bike.
Light and aerodynamic
The Quartz is a balanced bike that combines
all the virtues of the G6 and the Ultralight.
Its aerodynamic light streamlines do not
diminish the stiffness of the structure.
The head tube, slightly raised, maximises total ergonomics of the rider with the
machine and provides a more comfortable
position. Likewise, it gains in lateral and
vertical stiffness and, therefore, in effi ciency
thanks to its model 386 bottom bracket.
The semi-sloping geometry guarantees the
rider with a great capacity for reaction and
greater stability. The result is a frame with an
effi cient performance with each pedal motion suitable for tackling any race or
competition regardless of the route.

G6 Ultralight Quartz
G6 Ultralight QuartzDesigned to cut the wind
The stylised geometry of the G6 is designed
to achieve the optimal aero positioning and
to reach maximum speed on fl at roads.
This attacking position, ideal for achieving
high speeds and for cutting the wind, is
achieved by the G6 thanks to the shorter
stays that allow for excellent traction, a
setback seat post, the low head tube, the
compact horizontal tube and the shallow
fork rake.
An uphill missile
The geometry of the Ultralight allows
achievement of maximum performance and
attainment of excellence specifi cally on
steep slopes or climbs, or facing bends at
full speed.
The shortest distance between axles,
without the setback seat post, the low head
tube, the compact horizontal tube and the
shallow fork rake make the Ultralight an
authentic uphill missile and allow the rider
to perform explosive and dramatic changes
of pace.
Endurance technology
BH has bid in its Quartz range to offer to a
wide range of racing cyclists all the R&D and
innovation values of the brand.
The effi cient and balanced design, its
optimal vertical absorption, the aerodynamic
coeffi cient, the endurance geometry, the
model 386 bottom bracket, the head tube
slightly raised and the 27.2” seat post make
of Quartz a comfortable and effi cient bike
that offers all the benefi ts and performance
sought after by both professional and
cycling amateurs.
G6 offers a wide range of models in order to
satisfy all tastes.
BH provides Ultralight with the best in
its catalogue. The result is an elite range
not only with the frame but also with the
accessories.
Quartz is a bike that as a result of its
balanced characteristics is designed for a
wide range of racing cyclists.
Maximum agility and total effi ciency with each pedal motion
The geometry of the G6, the Ultralight and the Quartz provide these three models with maximum agility when
pushed to the limit, it allows achievement of 100% effi ciency with each pedal motion and optimal vibration absorption.
The design allows for steering changes in demanding areas to be more pleasant and simpler. The reaction is
precise and immediate and the racing is achieved with maximum precision.
As with the G6, the Ultralight and the Quartz, the cable routing is inside the frame to gain maximum
aerodynamics, to provide maximum protection and to facilitate maintenance, both being compatible with electric
transmissions.

1. Devouring kilometresThe newly stylized G6 frame
by BH is designed for top-level
competition on the road. The
frames aerodynamic qualities and
aggressive confi dence inspiring
design urge the rider to speed,
accelerate and go all out, all while
devouring kilometres.
From the fi rst turn of the pedals, the
G6 exhibits tremendous effi ciency
all while highlighting why small
details are important in top-level
competition. The G6 series is
manufactured using a completely
carbon aero frame, designed
for aerodynamic effi ciency and
engineered to take full advantage
of the extreme weight to stiffness
ratio’s inherent to high modulus
carbon blend developed for this
particular frame design.

profi le which is founded upon the
companies rich century old cycling
heritage, a combination unmatched
in the bicycling industry today.
2. We design and develope the frame from the inside outOur innovative frame building
technology allows BH to accurately
control and optimize the material
thickness throughout the entire
frame design. Selecting the most
appropriate carbon to support our
targets for weight, stiffness and ride
compliancy allow BH to achieve
the engineered balance that our
frames are known for. The result
is a spectacular, lightweight yet
aerodynamic design with exceptional
rider power transfer and unparalleled
vertical compliancy.
The innovative seat post design
is another key part of the effi cient
aerodynamic development of the
G6 range, this coupled with the
crisp shifting performance achieved
by the full carbon front derailleur
mount offers the rider unrivalled
performance.
“From the fi rst time that I rode the
G6, I saw that it combined the two
elements that I need in order to feel
comfortable on a bike: resistance
and rigidity. With this model, BH has
achieved an engineered machine
that gives me all of the sensations
that a cyclist could ask for on the
road.
The sense of lightness offered by the
G6 is combined with a total control,
with no room for improvisation.
This confi dence makes me very
comfortable and offers me the
assurance of knowing that I have
the perfect ally to help me achieve
victory at every stage”.

3. Integrated Tapered Headtube DesignThe full carbon tapered 1 1/8”
to 1.5” headtube design helps
the G6 to achieve excepcional
torsional front end stiffness that
translates in greater rider control
and confi dence while descending.
The G6 headtube includes a new
tapered design, which reduces the
overall head tube cross section by
11% providing greater effi ciency and
reduced air resistance for increased
aerodynamics.
4. The most aerodynamic forkThe full carbon fork, fi ts the headset
like a glove, forming a smooth
transition between the two elements.
It is, without a doubt, the most
aerodynamic fork that BH has ever
manufactured.
5. Oversized bottom bracket. Maximum lateral stiffnessThe bottom bracket of the G6
utilizes the BB386EVO architecture
and measures 86.5mm in overall
width. This new bottom bracket
design offers the G6 frame, a greater
surface area for improved lateral
frame stiffness. The BH designers
were able to increase the cross
sectional areas of the tubing while
reducing overall wall thickness thus
increasing the torsional stiffness
in the bottom bracket. The result
is increased lateral frame stiffness,
improved effi ciency and total control
with every turn of the pedals.
6. Cable guides within the frame.Maximum protection, easy maintenanceThe new G6 frame design benefi ts
from the same compact frame
geometry as the G5. Responsive
acceleration, precise handling,
confi dence inspiring, and the perfect
fi t all describe the geometry in our
G6 model.
7. Sloping geometry. Optimal handlingThe G6 frame utilizes a compact
frame geometry that provides
exceptional standover heights in all
frame sizes and allows for greater
tortional frame stiffness. The frames
geometry was derived from years of
development experience focused on
building some of the best climbing
bikes in the world that offer optimal
handling, immediate acceleration
and an overall confi dence like
nothing else in the industry.

ultralighour own balanced layup of high
modulus carbon fi ber. Using our
advanced molding technology, we
are able to mold each frame with
incredible precision. In this way,
BH brings out the best results
of the material, eliminating
manufacturing inconsistencies
and building a frame
consistent with the
engineered intentions
conceived for the
specifi c design.
1. Designed to ClimbBH has always been faithful to a
principle: Develop agile bicycles
designed and engineered to effectively
convert the rider’s power and strength
into speed. The Ultralight frame is the
ultimate expression of this centenarian
philosophy applied to competitive
cycling.
The Ultralight is everything you
expect in a top level racing bike;
extremely lightweight, laterally stiff
and very effi cient. It is an ideal frame
design for producing the best results
from any rider. The minimalistic
look was designed and engineered
around our Hollow Core Internal
Molding Technology, resulting in the
lightest, yet stiffest frame we have
ever produced. The power transfer
from rider to wheel is second to none.
Designed to climb, the development
team applied this motto to every
aspect of the frame, ultimately
producing a frame specifi cally suited
for racing. Climbing, descending
and breaking free from the Peloton is
made easier and requires less effort
thanks to the incredible stiffness-to-
weight ratio of this proprietary carbon
blend, resulting in uncompromised
frame responsiveness.
2. We build bicycles from the inside out The Ultralight frame is the successful
technical result of years of Research
and Development within our
Innovation department at BH Bikes.

3. 1.5” Integrated carbon headset. Greater torsional stiffness. The fork leverages all the same layup
and molding techniques used in the
development of the Ultralight frame
in order to create an incredibly stiff,
yet vertically compliant 305 gram
full carbon design that seamlessly
integrate with the overall design of
the Ultralight frame.
4. Crankset BB386 EVO. Increased lateral and vertical stiffness. The bottom bracket of the Ultralight
utilizes the BB386EVO architecture
and measures 86.5mm in overall
width. This new bottom bracket
design offers the Ultralight frame a
greater surface area for improved
lateral frame stiffness. The BH
designers were able to increase
the cross sectional areas of the
tubing while reducing overall wall
thickness, thus increasing the
torsional stiffness in the bottom
bracket. The result is increased
lateral frame stiffness, improved
effi ciency and total control with
every turn of the pedals.
This new design has enabled BH to
increase the size of the down tubes
diameter, thus reducing the thickness
of the walls and increasing the torsion
stiffness by 166% and the rear
stiffness by 125%.
As a result, the cyclist may
place more demands on the
frame, particularly when
going uphill, putting all of
his/her effort into speed
and power.

5. Cable guides within the frame. Maximum protection, simple maintenanceThe innovative Ultralight cable guide
system offers the possibility of
integrating mechanical or electronic
systems, guaranteeing maximum
protection.
6. Compact Geometry. Direct connection to the bicycleWhen the road is inclined, the
Ultralight is at its best. It offers an
experience that fuses the bicycle
and the cyclist, creating a single
unstoppable machine. Its studied
geometry converts it into an
easily-manoeuvrable bicycle that is
explosive, quick to change directions
and follow any path with great
precision.
The slightly elevated head tube, the
slightly advanced fork placement,
the rear triangle geometry with
402 mm. chainstays, and the slight
modifi cation of the seat angle give
the Ultralight a lower-than-normal
centre of gravity.
This design allows for more
precise and fast speed changes,
hugging curves at high speeds,
attacking uphill climbs either
seated or standing, with increased
explosiveness, transforming every
ounce of energy into power so as to
get the best performance out of the
most complicated terrains.
“For my discipline, it is essential to
have a bike that offers me power.
During tough moments when
your strength starts to wane, it is
important to know that my bike isn’t
going to let me down and with my
Ultralight, I have that assurance. The
sense that I can safely take on steep
slopes or changes in speed gives
me the assurance that I need when
going full force.
The Ultralight’s lightness allows me
to climb long distances at a constant
speed and when I am riding this bike
I feel that my physical effort is being
proportionately compensated”.

Quartz1. Effi cient design and balanced performance. Ideal for the Endurance categoryBH offers its all new Quartz frame,
inspired by the successful and
innovative designs of the Ultralight and
G6 frames.
The BH engineering team developed
the Quartz frame around many of the
advancements incorporated into the
design of our more elite professional
level frames such as the G6 and
Ultralight RC. This aerodynamic
inspired design fi ts the needs of a wide
range of cyclists, from professional to
the most demanding cyclo-tourists.
The aerodynamic inspired lines,
technically advanced design and
compact frame geometry combine
to create the most advanced
frames we have ever offered in the
Endurance road category. The heart
of the Quartz frame is the geometry
developed by BH for their Endurance
rode models. Its slightly lengthened
head-tube improves the overall fi t and
comfort of the design. In addition,
the aerodynamic inspired tube set,
combined with the BB386EVO bottom
bracket design greatly elevates the
overall performance and effi ciency
of the frame. The Quartz frame, with
its effi cient and balanced design is
specifi cally designed for the Road
Endurance category.

2. 100% carbon.Lighter and more rigidWith the design and development
of the Quartz line, BH has created
a lightweight yet responsive top-
performing frame which stands second
none in its category.
The Quartz frame is a full carbon
monocoque design developed using
a highly specifi c carbon layup and
molding technique. This innovative
technology allows for greater control
and optimization of the material
thicknesses throughout the frame
design. A specifi c blend of high
modulus carbon fi ber was selected
specifi cally to meet the performance
targets set by the BH development
team, which resulted in a spectacular
aerodynamic design that is lightweight
and offers optimal vertical compliancy.
The result is a model that offers
excellent handling and performance
through effi cient pedalling using an
optimized frame design.
3. The most aerodynamic forkThe Quartz fork, like that of the G6, is
manufactured using a unique carbon
design which fi ts the headset like a
glove. The result is a smooth transition
between frame and fork in both looks
and performance.
4. Asymmetrical rear chainstays The rear chainstay design is
asymmetrical, as in the other BH top
of the line frames, in order to increase
the lateral stiffness of the frame and
to allow installation of wider wheel
designs.
5. Integrated 1.5” carbon headset Increased torsional stiffnessThe carbon 1.5” headset, inspired by
the G 6 line, is fully integrated within
the frame. This allows for exceptional
torsion stiffness and handling while
providing the comfort and control
expected from this frame category.
6. 27.2 mm seat postAdded comfort while riding The Quartz seat post is only 27.2 mm
in diameter, similar to that used on the
Ultralight model. This design offers
additional weight savings to the overall
frame while adding greater vertical
compliancy.
7. BB386 EVO Bottom bracket system. Increased lateral stiffnessThe BB386 EVO bottom bracket, an
innovation co-developed by BH in
collaboration with FSA, incorporates
an overall bottom bracket width of
86.5 mm. This optimized bottom
bracket design allows the frame
builder to increases overall frame
stiffness while increasing rear tire
clearance required of wider wheel
designs. Using this system, BH has
increase the torsion stiffness in the
bottom bracket of the Quartz resulting
in increased rider effi ciency. The result
is improved lateral stiffness, greater
stability and increased control with
each turn of the pedals.
8. Cable guides within the frame. Maximum protection, easy maintenanceThe cable guide system used by the
Quartz is the same as in the G6 and
Ultralight models. It allows for the
integration of mechanical or electrical
systems while guaranteeing maximum
protection. Also, this unique cable
guide system allow for changes or
improvements while maintaining the
frame’s aesthetics.
9. Compact Geometry. Direct connection with the bicycleThe new Quartz compact frame
geometry ensures a fantastic fi t
and a true ergonomic position all
while offering the rider increased
responsiveness and stability.
“The qualities of the Quartz model
offer me so much comfort that I
don’t want to get off the bike. It
makes it especially easy to maintain
cruising speeds on all types of
terrain without losing performance
along the way.
This is a very responsive frame with
great stability, creating a bike that
has many possibilities, both for
professional cyclists as well as for
enthusiasts who want to improve”.

The Aerolight is made of 100% carbon, from the fork to the rear dropouts
Our innovative Hollow Core Internal Molding
Technology allows BH to accurately control and
optimize the material thickness throughout the entire
frame design.
Selecting the most appropriate carbon to support our
targets for weight, stiffness and ride compliancy allow
BH to achieve the engineered balance that our frames
are known for.
The result is a spectacular, lightweight yet aerodynamic
design with exceptional rider power transfer and
unparalleled vertical compliancy.
The Aerolight RC frame uses a full carbon frame design to maximize aerodynamics, rider ergonomics and overall frame efficiency
The Airfoil tube designs incorporate the use of a Kamm-
Tail technique in areas of the frame most suited for this
modified tube section.
This design philosophy allows BH to use aggressive
airfoil designs that are also efficient in cross wind
conditions. With performance always leading our
design intentions the final tube geometry is ideally
suited for achieving our predetermined frame and fork
performance goals.
Competition in its purest state, marking
the difference The Aerolight frame, developed jointly by BH and Eneko Llanos, was designed to slice the wind…
…reaching high speeds, exploding across flats and
efficient ascends.
The Aerolight is the most advanced triathlon bicycle BH
has ever produced. A spectacular design, created for
top competition
The ideal bicycle for top triathletes
The Aerolight RC is the perfect frame for the triathlete
The Aerolight RC includes many of the top
technological and design innovations of the Aerolight
frame, while providing a compatible platform desinged
to integrate with a wide range of build combinations.
The unique seat post design allows for nearly 4 degrees
of theoretical seat tube angle adjustment designed to
provide the athlete a broad range of fitting options.
The Aerolight and the Aerolight RC were developed to be both aerodynamic and efficient
The BB386EVO bottom bracket design improves lateral frame stiffness by increasing the
overall width and available surface area at this key frame intersection. The BH designers
were able to increase the cross sectional areas of the tubing while reducing overall wall
thickness to ultimately increase the torsional stiffness in the bottom bracket and rear chain-
stays. The result is increased lateral frame stiffness, improved efficiency and total control
with every turn of the pedals.

With the Aerolight, the cyclist can assume an aggressive attack position
The Aerolight frame system offers a wide range of
adjustment possibilities designed to meet the riders
requirements.
The custom stem and spacer system provide for an
increased range of fit options. This coupled with the
highly adjustable seat post design allow almost any
rider to achieve their ideal riding position. The front
fork and frame designs is fully integrated, offering the
athlete a perfectly fit with the bike. The front brake is
completely integrated and hidden, creating a flat and
aerodynamic surface.
The geometry of the Aerolight RC frame offers great responsiveness and, while it is less aggressive than the Aerolight, it lets the cyclist adopt a perfect biomechanical positioning
Like the Aerolight, the seat tube of this model offers a
virtual angle of between 74º and 80º, allowing for the
most aerodynamic and efficient position possible. The
frame itself is designed to be aerodynamic, like that of
the Aerolight.

Designed for competition in collaboration with Eneko Llanos.
Maximum efficiency, aerodynamics, speed, lightness and rigidity
Exploding across flats and making a difference in uphill climbs
Nobody knows better than the
triathletes themselves what they
require from a top-level racing bike.
To do so, the engineering team and
Eneko Llanos worked side by side
on the design and development of
the new Aerolight, the bike that won
the Melbourne Ironman and the BH
Zarautz Triathlon.
1. Top competitionThe Aerolight is the ideal bicycle for
top triathletes. It is a bike designed
to slice the wind, reach top speeds,
explode across the flats and make
the differences in uphill climbs.
Its exceptional design and numerous
technological advances are
incorporated into this advanced
aerodynamic frame. The overall
design lines are all the results of
numerous brainstorming sessions
held by the technical and sports
sections of BH in order to attain the
most advanced, spectacular and top
of the line triathlon bicycle possible.
2. Aerolight FrameThe Aerolight frame has been
manufactured in accordance with
the principles of the other top BH
frames, such as the Ultralight and G6
models.
In building the Aerolight frame, a
number of innovative technologies
have been implemented into the
overall development process in
order to control and optimize the
ideal carbon wall thicknesses for the
different locations within the frame.
Also the most appropriate carbon
layups are developed and then
applied to a minimal carbon layer
molding technique in order to ensure
extreme rigidity in a lightweight
frame design.
This proprietary manufacturing
process uses a combination of high
and medium modulus materials in
order to attain the high standards
demanded by BH.
3. Oversized bottom bracket. Greater torsional stiffnessBH oversized the bottom bracket in
order to incorporate the BB386EVO
system, which ensures greater
torsional stiffness and increased
rider efficiency. This innovative
design allows the width of the
external bottom bracket to be
increased to 86.5 mm, providing
greater flexiblity to produce a
superior frame design.
The combination of the oversized
bottom bracket design, allowing
the incorporation of the BB386EVO
system, together with the position of
the chain stays makes the Aerolight
frame appropriate for even the
widest wheels in the sector.
4. Carbon rear dropoutsThe carbon rear dropouts ensure
precise alignment of the wheel. The
rear derailleur hanger is the same
as that used for the new G6 and
provides exceptional performance

Eneko LlanosBH T!athlete“When I ride my Aerolight, the bike
and I become one. This perfect union
is what makes me continue to use
it. My sporting successes would
not be the same if I did not use the
best bike on the market and in my
opinion, the Aerolight from BH is a
machine that all triathletes would
like to have.
This is a very aerodynamic bike on
which you feel like you are cutting
through the wind with every turn of
the pedals and where no element
prevents my progress. So it is easy
to imagine why other athletes are
always looking at my Aerolight
during the races”.
6. Seat tube. In attack positionThe aerodynamic seat tube design,
allowing for a seat angle of between
74º and 78º allows the rider to adopt
a more relaxed or more aggressive
positioning.
As an optional accessory, there is a
telescopic seat tube in accordance
with UCI parameters, which may
be used in a counter clockwise
position.
7. Fully unified front forkThe headtube design is built around
an 1 1/8” bearing both at the top
and bottom race. It has been
manufactured in a narrow, stylized
shape in order to offer the frame
a more aggressive, aerodynamic
form.
The headtube surface seamlessly
blends into the airfoil inspired fork
blades which house the cutout
for the rear mounted front brake
Design.
8. Three bottle cage positionsThe new frame allows the cyclist
to place the bottle in three different
positions: in the lower diagonal
tube, on the seat tube or on the
upper top tube.
9. Internal cabling for mechanical or electrical systemsThe original cable guide system of
the Aerolight frame allows for the
possibility of integrating mechanical
or electronic systems, guaranteeing
maximum protection.
10. Geometry. Custom fitThe geometry of the new frame
offers a wide range of adjustments
that may be modified based on
needs. The handlebar can be placed
in different positions and the seat
tube offers a theoretical angle of
between 74º and 78º, allowing
the racer to adopt the most
appropriate position
The new Aerolight maintains the
size of the rear chainstays at
38 cm, notably increasing the
cyclist’s responsiveness and
explosiveness while in motion.
BH has manufactured four
sizes: SM, MD, LA, and XL.
5. Fork and head tube. The most aerodynamicThe airfoil shaped front fork blades
seamlessly incorporate the front
brake and also flows into the base
of the head-tube. The head-tube
utilizes two 1 1/8th inch bearings in
order to keep the head-tube cross
section to a minimum.

market.
2. Built out of 100% carbon. Aerodynamic speedThe Aerolight RC line is built out of
100% carbon, based on the same
principles as the other top of the line
BH frames like the Ultralight or the
Aerolight. It was designed to achieve
optimal air penetration and perfect
biomechanical positioning.
In building the Aerolight RC frame,
innovative technology has been used
to allow for control, optimization and
personalization of the ideal thicknesses
for different frame parts, using the most
appropriate carbon for its development
with minimal overlapping to ensure
extreme rigidity and lightness.
Adapting to your competitive style
The Aerolight RC frame incorporates a wide range of
options to adapt to the needs of each competition
This patented manufacturing process
uses a combination of carbon fibres of
high, medium and low modules in order
to achieve the high quality standards
demanded by BH. In all Aerolight RC
tube cross-sections, formulas have
been applied and tests and analyses
have been undertaken to maximize the
frame’s aerodynamics without affecting
its rigidity.
3. Oversized bottom bracket. Greater torsional stiffnessBH oversized the bottom bracket in
order to incorporate the BB386EVO
system, which ensures greater torsional
stiffness and increased rider efficiency.
This innovative design allows the
width of the external bottom bracket
to be increased to 86.5 mm, providing
greater flexiblity to produce a superior
frame design.
The combination of the oversized
bottom bracket design, allowing
the incorporation of the BB386EVO
system, together with the position of
the chain stays makes the Aerolight
frame appropriate for even the widest
wheels in the sector.
4. Head set. Allows for incorporation of any stemThe narrowness of the head set, at
a mere 1 1/8” both in its upper and
lower part, lowers the coefficients of
air friction. In addition, it is compatible
with any standard stem on the market.
5. Seat tube. Optimizing air flowThe cross-section uses the
aerodynamic Kamm-Tail design,
optimizing the passage of air across
the seat. This design allows for
adjustment of the seat angle in 4 ways
so that the racer can attain a more
relaxed or a more aggressive posture,
depending on the type of competition
that he/she is facing.

Oscar Negrete“As a triathlon enthusiast, the
Aerolight RC is one of the best
bikes that I have tried. It combines
many innovations found on the most
advanced models but at a more
economic price. In addition, it allows
me to modify some elements to
adapt it perfectly to my likings.
The Aerolight RC allows me to
exceed my expectations in every
race. When I compete with it, I feel
like a real triathlete, knowing that
I should make every effort to take
advantage of all of the possibilities
that it offers me”.

6. Carbon rear dropoutsThe carbon rear dropouts, as in the
G6, Ultralight and Aerolight models,
guarantee a precise and efficient wheel
alignment. The front derailleur support
is the same as that used for the new
G6, offering exceptional performance
during gear shifts.
7. Asymmetrical rear chainstaysThe rear chainstay design is
asymmetrical, as in the other top of the
line BH frames, increasing the lateral
stiffness of the frame and improving
its efficiency and performance. This
design allows for the installation of
wider wheels and improves wheel
rotation.
8. Internal wiring for mechanical or electronic systemsThe unique cable guide system of
the Aerolight RC frame allows for
integration of either mechanical or
electronic systems, ensuring maximum
protection.
9. Braking system. All the optionsThe Aerolight RC frame offers a
standard line of brakes; therefore any
braking system is permitted.
10. GeometryThe geometry of the new Aerolight RC
frame was inspired by the Aerolight
and, while less aggressive; it offers
the cyclist an attack position and
responsiveness that is necessary
when racing. The elevated head set
and non-integrated seat tube which
incorporates the clamp on system of
the G6 line, offer a uniform distribution
of force.

1. Designed for competitionWhen BH Bikes developed a frame
for cyclo-cross it was thinking
about competition and what racers
in this discipline required from
their machine, whatever terrain or
conditions they came up against
along the circuit.
BH designed and manufactured
the new RX Team frame with
collaboration and input from some
of the most famous, experienced
and demanding cyclo-cross riders in
Europe. The frame also incorporates
the best design ideas that BH has
already implemented and integrated
into its top-level frames.
106106
Isaac Suarez“To become Cyclocross champion
of Spain I had to work very hard,
but I always trusted my brand of
reference.
BH has done a great job with the RX
TEAM, incorporating lightness and
rigidity in equal parts. Its lightness
gives me dynamism and mobility
while the rigidity provides me with
speed and safety.
The muddiest areas of the foot
stretches are key moments when
speed and lightness are the greatest
protagonists. For these moments, I
count on one of the most responsive
bikes of on the market, giving me
the confidence and security to
take on any terrain with maximum
assurance.”
4. Internal Cable RoutingOne of the main innovations of the frame is the new cable guide system. In this respect, the RX frames has been inspired by the new G6s. This mechanism, developed by BH, allows for the integration of both mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring maximum protection.
5. Fork. Increased steering precisionAnother new feature of the RX Team is the fork design. This completely new tapered 1.5 inch fork optimises tortional stiffness while providing the necessary precision in the headset, to prevent noise and vibration while braking. This combined with added tire clearance make for an unbeatable combination.
6. Rear legs. Dual attachment systemThe carbon rear dropouts incorporate an aluminium dual insert system which allows you to change the distance between the frame dropouts from 130 mm to 135 mm, depending on whether cantilever brakes or disc brakes are being used.
If deciding to use disc brakes, the supporting pivot posts for the cantilever brakes can be removed from both the fork and the rear chainstay.
7. Geometry. Propelling your movementThe geometry of the RX Team is true to the philosophy of all the frames made by BH. This is a highly reactive competition frame, with exceptional power transfer and uncompromising performance.
2. 100% carbon monocoque The new RX Team is a monocoque
carbon frame design which utilizes
a proprietary layup to customise the
frame and reinforce key strength
areas while reducing material and
weight in less demanding locations
of the frame.
The arrangement of the carbon fiber
layup in the RX frame follows the
same principles and concepts as
those developed for the Ultralight
frame, using a propriatery blend
of high, medium and low modulus
carbon to achieve the highest quality
standards that BH and its riders
require from all their frames.
The innovative design of the tubes
was developed and tested with some
of the most famous and demanding
cyclotrons riders in Europe to
guarantee optimal performance and
ensure both stiffness and lightness.
In addition, the RX Team frame has
been designed and adapted to meet
the new standards regarding disc
brakes recently approved by the UCI
for competition.
All these innovations, and
technologies incorporated, make
the new RX Team frame the perfect
candidate for a place of honour in
the BH stable. Ultimately, it’s a highly
versatile and reliable frame destined
for victory.
3. BB386EVOThe RX Team frame has been
designed around the new BB386EVO
bottom bracket system which
allows the use of an 86.5 mm shell.
Increasing the surface of the shell,
means you also greatly increase its
torsional rigidity, strength, and the
cyclist’s efficiency during a ride or
a race.
Furthermore, the chainstays and
fork design, together with the new
BB386EVO bottom bracket system,
allow for use of the widest wheels in
the market.

QuartzAt BH we create, design
and manufacture bicycles especially for women
Frames that adapt to your anatomy
All of the details of our frames, in particular, their geometry, are expressly developed to obtain maximum efficiency and aerodynamics, while being as lightweight as possible
A top of the line frame adapted to youInspired by the revolutionary
Ultralight and G6 models, the
aerodynamic Quartz frame includes
all of the details of a top of the line
frame, thus obtaining the needed
performance and efficiency. This
frame is designed for a wide range
of cyclists; from professionals to
demanding cyclo-tourists.
1. More agile, efficient and aerodynamic pedallingThe Quartz frame is reactive and
lightweight, performing to the
maximum while remaining safe and
stable. Built out of 100% carbon, its
design results in an extremely rigid
and lightweight frame with optimal
vertical absorption. Both the seat
tube, with a thickness of only
31.8 mm, and the fork are
manufactured from a single piece of
carbon.
2. Increased rigidity. Total responsivenessEvery turn of the pedals will be more
efficient because the Quartz offers
increased lateral and vertical torsion
stiffness.
The BB386 EVO crankset increases
its surface, rigidity and resistance.
The 1.5” carbon conical headset
is fully integrated in the frame and
offers exceptional ratios of torsion
stiffness and handling.
3. GeometryIts geometry, in height and length,
was designed and adapted
specifically for female cyclists,
offering a perfect biomechanical fit
and a comfortable ride for women
measuring 1.50 meters and over.

Expert Elle
The new Expert and Elle frames are perfect for all MTB enthusiasts. Their attractive design includes all of the details of a top of the line frame. Both models offer very versatile use, both for cross country as well as competition
For \
1. Resistant and light-weightThe new Elle line was designed for
women who wish to begin practicing
MTB. It is made of 6061 aluminium
and has hydroforming technology,
resulting in an attractive frame with
high coefficients of resistance and
lightness. The integrated conical
headset notably increases lateral
and torsion stiffness.
2. Perfect biomechanical fitIts geometry, both in height and
length, was designed and adapted
specifically for female riders. It offers
a perfect bio-mechanical fit with
minimum vibrations, guaranteeing
a high degree of comfort and
maximum performance.
1. Greater vertical absorption and lateral stiffnessThe Expert was manufactured with
top of the line 6061 aluminium of
double thickness and hydroforming
technology. This system offers
increased rigidity in the critical
areas and lightness where it is not
required.
2. More reliableThe Direct Mount front derailleur
offers maximum reliability and the
chainstays hold the EVO Brake
Mount system, thus reducing braking
vibrations in the rear wheel.
3. Geometry. More comfort and responseIts geometry, both in terms of
height and weight, was designed
and adapted to the anatomy of the
female cyclist in order to achieve a
perfect bio-mechanical fit.

angle of attack
What you should bear in mind when choosing a wheel?
The 29er bikes offer a more stable ride and the 27.5er’s provide better handling on descentsSmaller wheels have the advantage of greater rigidity - so the 27.5er
wheel provides for more aggressive use.
The larger the wheel size the smaller the angle of attack. This means that the wheel sinks less in holes as it tends to pass over themThe main advantage of using a larger wheel is that it’s easy to move over
obstacles on the ground. It’s makes stones, branches and roots seem
smaller than they should because in proportion to the size of the wheel,
they are relatively smaller.
When we face an obstacle it is as though the wheel needs to climb a
small hill.
inertiaA larger wheel requires more power to start, but once you’re moving,
inertia provides longer momentum for each pedal stroke and the bike
travels farther.
A larger wheel provides a greater bearing surface on the ground, i.e. its “footprint” is largerThis results, on the one hand, in greater tyre grip and lower likelihood of
sliding. The traction of the 27.5er and 29er models is significantly higher
than the 26er.
Moreover, the greater surface area means that the wheel sinks less on
soft surfaces, such as snow, mud or sand.
Diameter and weight directly affect acceleration. It is more difficult to
accelerate and brake with a larger wheel; rotation is also more difficult,
but they maintain a higher top speed.

Geometry for every wheel
Different wheels for different uses
A full suspension bike for a faster ride
With the Lynx 29er range, once the bike is moving inertia
maintains momentum with each pedal stroke.
The 29er’s angle of attack means that obstacles do not
make us lose momentum because they are smaller in
proportion to wheel size.
The tyre’s grip or traction on the ground is greater
because its footprint is larger.
Guaranteed fun for more aggressive riding
Rigidity and stability, so that the wheels can withstand
our rhythm and riding style.
Easy to accelerate and turn on steep and twisty ground.
It offers great flexibility and the right manoeuvrability in
the most difficult situations.

The chainstays are sufficiently long for any type of wheel in the Lynx line (in the 29er
Lynx 4.8 it is 430 mm while in the 27.5er Lynx 6 it is only 426 mm). All of the bikes have
a specific head tube angle for each model. The height of the bottom bracket has been
adjusted so that it does not exceed 335 mm in any model.
The goal of the Lynx geometry is to provide frames that can be adapted to different
types of riding and different types of riders.

Split PivThe Lynx is designed by and for
bikers. They are the full suspension
machines that we always dreamt of
riding.
The Lynx line uses the innovative and
successful Split Pivot system.
BH is the only European brand
that has patented this innovative
system that was developed by
legendary biker Dave Weagle. Dave
is the inventor of some of the most
successful MTB suspension systems
and he recognizes that the Lynx are
the best-designed bikes today.
Split Pivot offers an extraordinary
sensitivity and a great absorption
capacity for rough ground, offering
the sensation of having extra range
in the ride.
1. What is Split Pivot technology?Split Pivot is a floating suspension
system developed by BH based
on traction, pedalling efficiency,
handling and the bicycle’s rigidity.
This system allows for separate action on three forces produced on the bicycle: pedalling, braking and suspension. Thus, BH has solved, one by one, the problems that are produced by double suspension and has achieved a system that is years beyond other systems that ultimately penalize one of these three forces.
The obtained result is maximum
pedalling efficiency with consistent
and progressive suspension. The
advanced rear suspension of the
Lynx allows it to have a greater
range while being very lightweight.
Discover the Split Pivot system of the Lynx lineMore efficient power transition and
more consistent and progressive suspension
2. The heart of the Split Pivot systemThis system is formed by four pivot
points that technically work like a
single pivot:
The concentric Split pivot
The two pivot points located in the
tie rods
The primary one located above the
bottom bracket
3. Key points in the Split Pivot system3.1. Anti-Squat. Lynx offers a drastic
improvement in anti-bobbing, which
is minimal, and an accelerating
efficiency that is superior to that of
other models.
3.2. Braking-Squat. In the Lynx,
braking does not affect the distance
covered by the rear wheel because
suspension remains continually
active when braking. There is
improved grip when braking,
thus offering the rider increased
confidence.
3.3. Leverage Ratio. The Split Pivot suspension controls the acceleration and braking processes instead of the shock-absorber, offering a much more progressive Leverage Ratio.
3.4. Floating Mount. The shock-
absorber is maintained in a floating
position and moves when the
suspension is in operation. This
permits the desired progressiveness
and achieves the desired suspension
curve.
146
MTB full suspension
votLynx bikes need less platform in
the shock-absorber since the Split
Pivot notably improves the bicycle’s
behaviour in small pot holes thanks
to absorption properties in the
areas where increased support is
necessary without creating a rocking
effect, offering the cyclist the needed
range.
Engineering developer of the Split Pivot System“What was I looking for when
developing the Split Pivot system?
Separation of the acceleration
forces from those of braking in the
suspension. The result is a system
having maximum pedalling efficiency
and a suspension that functions
consistently and progressively”.

Lynx 4.29”
The new Lynx 4.8 29” with 120 mm
of rear range was designed to
obtain maximum usage versatility
and maximum pedalling efficiency,
absorption and handling, thanks to
the Split Pivot system. In addition,
the kinematics dedicated to the 29”
tyres offers a perfect control of the
120 mm of range with the sensation
of having an additional 20 mm.
1. Made of 100% CarbonMonocoque construction of the front
triangle and chainstays
The Lynx 4.8 Carbon frame was
constructed from a single piece of
100% monocoque carbon, offering
uniformity to the entire frame and
eliminating critical areas as there are
no connection points between the
tubes. For its creation, the BH team
worked closely with leading carbon
fibre manufacturers.
The Lynx 4.8 was developed with
HM (High Module T40, T30 and T24
of Toray) technology in order to offer
increased rigidity with the same
weight.
2. Split PivotThe new Split Pivot Dropout design is more compact in 18 mm as compared to previous models and, at the same time, more rigid thanks to the use of larger diameter bearings.

4.83. The shortest rear axle on the marketBH has managed to reduce the length of the rear chainstays to 430 mm, transforming the Lynx bike into a full-suspension bike manufactured in carbon with the shortest rear axle on the market. Thanks to this notable innovation,
which has passed all of the approved
resistance tests, the Lynx is a
superior bicycle to the rest, both in
responsiveness and handling.
This great technological advance
developed by BH allows for the
assembly of tyres of up to 2.4 inches
and any type of chainrings (2x or 3x).
Also the new system of joining the
chainstays and the main triangle
eases maintenance as it permits
faster and simpler assembly and
dismounting.
The compact geometry of the Lynx 4.8
converts it into a bicycle that is very
manoeuvrable and stable, thanks
to a stand-over and a low bottom
bracket height (320 mm).
4. Launched head tube angle offering extra stabilityThis advance makes this 29” bike
one of the most manoeuvrable and
precise on the market.

5. Integrated head tubeIncorporates the integrated conical
carbon head tube, technology of the
Lynx 6 and Ultimate frames. Made
from 100% carbon and with no
aluminium inserts, it is lightweight
and notably increases the side
rigidity and torsion stiffness.
6. A wider bottom bracket for an increased torsion stiffnessThe increased width of the Press
fit 92 bottom bracket allowed BH
to widen the diagonal tubes and
the shock-absorption bridge by
several degrees to provide it with
a maximum level of rigidity and to
guarantee minimum flexion between
the front and rear triangle.
7. 142x12 rear wheel axle. Improved transmission, greater stabilityThe rear axle incorporates a
Q12-142x12 system that increases
torsion stiffness by 30% in
comparison to the 135x9 system.
This notably improves energy
transmission and rear axle stability.
8. Direct Mount Full DerailleurThe Direct Mount derailleur offers
maximum quality and reliability in
the mounting of the front derailleur.
Being fully integrated in the frame
allows for an increased rigidity and
an absolute precision when shifting
gears. Its design simplifies its
adjustment and offers precision in
gear changing.
9. Rear brakeThe support of the Direct Post Mount
rear brake, with detachable screws,
eases adjustment and reliability.
10. Cable guide within the frameThe Lynx 4.8 includes an internal
guiding system of cables and
derailleurs.
11. Enduro Bearing. Small speed rotation for heavy loadsIn the Lynx 4.8, all of the pivots
rotate around high quality Enduro
Bearing, specifically developed to support high workloads and offering a small rotation speed. Enduro Bearings, worldwide leaders in the sector, require
minimal maintenance. This is due
to the fact that they are the only
bearings created to offer small
rotation speed and to receive heavy
loads. Impacts are always produced
in the areas bearing heavy loads.
12. All of the top-of-the-line componentsIn creating the Lynx 4.8 29er,
BH used aluminium and standard
TORX hardware, offering increased
longevity. Rods and shafts are made
of 7075 forged aluminium and CNC
finishing.

Lynx 627.5”
Perfect for the most daring riders
who are facing all kinds of obstacles
and conditions, accidentally or
intentionally. It is perfect for rough
surfaces, rock gardens, tough climbs
and steep descents.
The 150 mm Lynx is a multi-terrain
bike that is aggressive and easy to
pedal and thanks to its lightness,
it can be easily handled at any
moment.
Its suspension system offers an
increased absorption level together
with an impressive pedalling
capacity.
1. Kinematics coordination. Increased control, more confidence and more funExtreme riders like to take their bike
around the most difficult corners and
attack the most demanding areas.
Facing these challenges is much
easier and more fun with the Lynx
6 since it can be handled on any
terrain, having a playful nature that
responds to tough climbs.
Its secret lies in the kinematics
coordination of the Split Pivot
suspension and its studied
geometry.
The balance between the steering
angle, the height of the bottom
bracket and the weight distribution
offers a more precise and safer ride.
For the most of daring of ridersThe new Lynx 6 27.5” line is perfect for the roughest and most complicated of surfaces, maintaining pedalling efficiency
2. Extra StabilityThe Lynx 27.5” «trail» offers a
sensation of safety and control in
every descent, as challenging as it
may be, superior to any other bike.
3. Split Pivot DesignThis system offers great suspension sensitivity and a huge absorption capacity on any terrain irregularities. The Split Pivot system
offers the rider a greater pedalling
efficiency and a more comfortable
handling thanks to its suspension
that functions consistently and
progressively.
4. New Fox and Rock Shox suspensions. Simplifying the interaction between user and bicycleThe new suspensions especially
developed for the Lynx, offer
floating movement that assures a
very linear movement that is at the
same time extremely sensitive and
absorbent. The combination of these
suspensions with the Split Pivot
system offers a decreased pressure
on the shock-absorbers.
This system results in a more
intuitive suspension control and
adjustment in order to achieve the
desired behaviour.

5. New chainstays that permit tyres of up to 2.4”BH has managed to construct some of the shortest chainstays on the market at only 426 mm allowing for an increased handling and superior responsiveness in comparison to other bikes having similar characteristics.
This important innovation results
in a true technical prowess with
the possibility of using wheels
measuring up to 2.4 inches and any
type of chainrings (2x or 3x).
Product Manar MTB BH Bikes“The Lynx line offers some of the
best bikes in regards to rigidity-
weight, design and finish.
We have worked hard on the rear
portion of the bike to obtain a
shorter rear having a greater range
and that is very lightweight.
The Split Pivot is a system that
allows for a superior absorption
with the same pedalling efficiency.
We are very pleased with the results
achieved for the new line of 27.5”
and 29”.

6. Integrated conical directionThe integrated conical direction is
another important technological
advance which notably increases the
side rigidity and torsion stiffness.
7. Press fit 92 bottom bracket. Increased torsion stiffnessThe width of the bottom bracket
allows for an increased section of
the diagonal tubes and the shock-
absorbers bridge, resulting in one of
the lightest bikes ever, having values
that increase the frame’s rigidity
for its maximum expression and to
guarantee a minimal flexion between
the front and rear triangle.
8. Improved transmission, increased stability. 142x12 rear wheel axleThe rear axle incorporates a
Q12-142x12 system that increases
torsion stiffness by 30% in
comparison to the 135x9 system.
This new feature in the Lynx
range notably improves energy
transmission and rear axle stability.
9. Direct Mount derailleur. Easy adjustment, total precisionThe direct anchoring of the Direct
Mount derailleur guarantees simple
adjustment and maximum degrees of
reliability and precision. Being fully
integrated in the frame means offers
an increased rigidity and an absolute
precision when shifting gears. Its
design simplifies its adjustment.
10. Rear brakeThe anchoring of the Direct Post
Mount rear brake, including
detachable screws, eases
adjustment and reliability.
11. Fully integratedThe guiding system of cables and
derailleurs is completely internal in
the Lynx 6 range. It is also equipped
with an internal guide in the
adjustable seatpost.
It incorporates the standard ISCG 05
integrated chain guide.
12. Enduro bearingsAll of the pivots of the Lynx range
rotate around high quality Enduro
Bearing, specifically developed to
support high workloads and offering
a small rotation speed.
Enduro Bearings, worldwide leaders
in the sector, require minimal
maintenance. This is due to the
fact that they are the only bearings
created to offer small rotation speed
and to receive heavy loads. Impacts
are always produced in the areas
bearing heavy loads.
168
Lynx 6 27.5”MTB agressive trail
13. Finite element testDifferent stimulations and computerized tests were undertaken by BH’s development team to detect and discover the areas of the Lynx frame bearing the heaviest loads and to learn the frame’s response. The overall
design was validated using FEA
(Finite Element Analysis).
14. And all of the details in order to ride to the maximumThe Lynx 150 mm line has parts and
thru axles made of 7075 aluminium
which are over-sized and can handle
the most extreme usage conditions.
Lynx 6 27.5” AlloyThe new aluminium Lynx 6 is perfect
for taking on all types of paths and
terrains, from technical climbs
to steep slopes. To accomplish
this, BH has developed a specific
geometry and kinematics for tyres
of 27.5. Its 150 mm of range, in both
suspensions, allows the rider to
enjoy the most challenging of paths
and to manoeuver the bike with a
smoothness and increased comfort.
Made of aluminium. Lighter and
easy to handle
The frame of the new Lynx 6 27.5”
Alloy was manufactured out of
aluminium alloy 6061 -T4, T6 of
triple thickness, guaranteeing
its solidity, exceptional lightness
and total rigidity. At only 2.7 kg
this extreme lightness allows for
an increased handling in difficult
situations.
The headset, bottom bracket,
bridge, tie rods and legs are made
of cold forged aluminium 7075 and
offer these areas an improved
weight/resistance relationship
since they are the most critical
parts of the frame.

Ultimate is the frame selected by the
MTB BH-SR Suntour-KMC team and
its racers Julie Bresset, 2011 and
2012 World Champion and London
2012 Olympic gold medal winner,
Maxime Marotte, Stephane Tempier
and Galician Pablo Rodríguez,
Spain’s cyclo-cross under-23
champion.
1. Designed for competitionUltimate, both in 29” and in 27.5”,
represents the pinnacle in hardtail
MTB frames, meeting the needs of
and most demanding levels of top
competition.
The carbon monocoque frame,
lightweight, rigid, responsive
and technological, designed and
developed specifically to succeed in
competition.
The integrated design of the
Ultimate frame, with all of its
innovations and details, allows
the cyclist to transform all of his/
her potential into performance,
obtaining very direct sensations.
The frame’s geometry and build,
with flattened and angular tubes is
reminiscent of a fast time trial bike.
2. 100% carbon monocoque frame. Explosive and reliable in extreme situationsThe Ultimate frame is a one-piece,
100% carbon monocoque frame,
offering uniformity to the entire
structure from the head tube to
the rear dropouts, and eliminated
critical areas since it has no joints or
welding points between the tubes.
When developing the frame, the BH
team worked closely with carbon
fibre and resin manufacturers to
obtain frames that are lighter and
with greater stiffness for each size.
The tube design, the curve of the
seat stays or the seat tube, result
the Ultimate’s behaviour being
explosive and reliable in extreme
conditions.
The Ultimate provides rigidity and
excellent vibration absorption as it is
built with high-modulus carbon fibre,
made by the world leader in the
sector and identical to those used in
the airline industry and in Formula 1.
Throughout the monocoque frame,
the high-modulus carbon fibres
–T40, T30, and T24– are configured
taking into account the weight
and force it will have to withstand
in order to strengthen the more
delicate areas and lighten those that
don’t have to bear so much weight.

This combination of fibres provides
stiffness, strength, elasticity, and
maximum absorption in this top-of-
the range frame.
All these improvements and
innovations allow BH to offer a frame
with high stiffness and low weight,
1,000 grams in size M.
3. Semi-integrated seat postThe Ultimate frame incorporates
a new semi-integrated seat post,
weighing only 110 grams, which
allows the rider to adjust the seat
height by more than 10 cm.
This light weight of only 110 gr was
achieved by achieved by designing
the top of the tube with an angle of
80°, making it possible to fine-tune
the thickness of the post without
affecting the weight it supports.
The 72° tilt angle of the seat tube has
been maintained.
4. Press Fit 92 bottom bracket. Wider, more rigid in torsionThe Press Fit 92 bottom bracket,
with a width of 92 mm, increases the
torsional rigidity while decreasing
the wall thickness by increasing the
diagonal tube section.
5. Integrated tapered carbon head tube. Increased lateral rigidity The integrated tapered carbon head
tube, made of 100% carbon, specific
technology characterizing these
top of the line frames, significantly
increases the lateral and torsional
stiffness.
6. 142X12 rear axle. Better transmission, increased stabilityThe rear axle uses the Q12-142x12 system in order to increase torsional stiffness, as compared to the previous 135x9. This innovation improves power transmission as well as rear axle stability.
7. Direct Mount front derailleur anchorThe Direct Mount derailleur offers
a high level of quality and reliability
in the front derailleur anchor. Its
development, fully integrated with
the frame, gives greater rigidity and
accuracy when shifting gears. The
design makes adjustment extremely
easy.
8. EVO Brake Mount SystemThe chainstays have been
specifically developed to
accommodate the EVO Brake Mount
system. The system is located on the
rear chainstay of the frame and has
an optimum tilt angle which reduces
braking vibrations on the rear wheel.
9. Cable guide inside the frameBH’s patented system of the gear
cable guide and derailleur inside
the frame allowed BH to lighten the
frame weight, to dispense with the
hood, whilst maintaining the highest
quality standards. The EVO Brake
Mount design means the brake
cable is well protected.
10. GeometryWe maintain the same geometry
as previously, validated by World
Cup victories. The flattened
design of the tubes is reminiscent
of road and time trial bikes. This
responsive XC bike is designed to
optimise performance, is aimed at
competition, and is born to race.
11. More models and for all tastes, in 27.5” and 29”BH has Ultimate frames in 27.5”
and 29” with a geometry that is
specifically adapted for each
turn of the wheels as well as
for the ergonomics of the
cyclist during competition.

World ?Wpi# 5d L#`n 2012 O0mpic Gold Med\ist“With the Ultimate, I already felt
like a champion even before
winning the London 2012 Olympic
medal. My experience could not
be more positive. After seeing the
development of this model year after
year, I can now confirm that the
Ultimate is one of the best bicycles
that I have ever had.
Its absorption on the steepest of
terrains and handling of bumps
makes the Ultimate a quick response
bike that allows me to improvise my
movements. ”

xi eBH SR S KMC Tm“In trying out the new Ultimate RC,
the features of this new model
that most stand out are the rear
chainstays and the reinforced areas
where more weight falls. This BH
allows me to move in a comfortable
but aggressive position in order
to enjoy the most challenging of
courses. Honestly, I think that
it optimizes power, precisely
responding to my pedalling.
At BH SR-Suntour KMC we are very
proud of being able to use one of the
most competitive BH models, both
for training and competition, where
we get the most out of its qualities.”
2. Monocoque construction. Optimum comfort level and lighter weightThe Ultimate RC frame is manufactured
out of high modulus T24 and T30
carbon under a process allowing for
its precise compacting and moulding,
evenly distributing the resin so as to
filter any potential vibrations.
In developing the Ultimate RC,
BH worked closely with leading
manufacturers of carbon fibre and resin
to create a frame that offers optimal
levels of comfort and weight..
The construction of the tubes and the
lay-up configuration of the carbon
meant BH could produce a frame with
an optimal geometry and minimum
vibrations to guarantee the rider a high
degree of comfort.
Throughout the structure, the carbon
fibres were arranged taking into
account the weight and force they
would have to withstand, with the aim
of strengthening the delicate areas and
lightening areas that don’t have to bear
so much weight. The result is a top-
of-the range frame which guarantees
stiffness, lightness, strength, elasticity
and maximum absorption
The design and technology applied
in the shape of its tubes and the
curvature of the seat stays make the
behaviour of the Ultimate RC agile,
reliable, and comfortable.
All these enhancements made to the
frame have enabled BH to build a
highly rigid frame with a low weight of
just 1,100 grams.

3. Rear axle wheel 135x9. Increased powerThe rear axle uses the Q12-135x9
system which offers a high degree
of torsion stiffness. This directly
influences the power transmission and
the rear axle stability.
4. The Direct Mount front derailleur anchor. Increased rigidityThe Direct Mount derailleur offers
a high level of quality and reliability
in the front derailleur anchor. Its
development, fully integrated with
the frame, gives greater rigidity and
accuracy when shifting gears. The
design makes adjustment extremely
easy.
5. EVO Brake Mount System. Less vibrationThe chainstays have been developed
specifically to accommodate the EVO
Brake Mount system. Its optimum tilt
angle reduces brake vibrations on the
rear wheel, increasing braking power
and reducing the annoying noise
produced when braking. The new
location in the chainstays protects
the rear brake calliper from potential
snags and knocks, thus increasing
safety when racing.
6. Geometry. Perfect for technical coursesBH has kept the exceptional
geometry achieved by the Ultimate
over the years. The Ultimate RC
is a highly responsive endurance
bike designed to optimise
performance.

TechnologyHydroforming technology allows BH
to design attractive frames with high
resistance and lightness coefficients
while maintaining the maximum quality
standards demanded by the brand in
all of its models.
It allows for the creation of personalized
tubes with a greater rigidity in critical
areas as well as a greater lightness in
areas where it is not needed.
Thus, the design of the Expert frames
combines an extra stiffness in the lower
part with a high level of comfort and
flexibility in the upper tubes. This offers
a great capacity for vertical absorption
as well as lending additional lateral
stiffness to the frame.
The 6061 aluminium frame with
double thickness and Hydroforming
technology with double thickness)
offers greater stiffness to the more
delicate parts and a greater flexibility
to those areas where this rigidity is not
required.
Integrated tapered aluminium head tube The integrated tapered aluminium
head tube, exclusive technology
of BH’s Lynx frames, is another
important technological development
incorporated in the Expert frames. This
new head tube significantly increases
lateral and torsional stiffness.
Direct Mount front derailleur anchorThe Direct Mount derailleur offers a
high degree of quality and reliability
in the front derailleur anchor. Its
development, fully integrated with the
frame, offers an increased rigidity and
precision when shifting gears. This
design greatly eases adjustment.
EVO Brake Mount SystemThe chainstays have been specifically
designed to accommodate the EVO
Brake Mount system. This system is
located near the frame’s rear chainstay
and has an optimal tilt angle to reduce
rear wheel braking vibrations.
The rear seat stays have been
designed and manufactured with
a specific design and curvature to
absorb any vibrations resulting from
minor impacts. Thus, the frame
geometry offers a great sense of
comfort and responsiveness.
The two rear dropouts are also
manufactured out of forged aluminium
and have been specifically designed
to accommodate the EVO Brake
Mountain system, as in the Ultimate
and Ultimate RC frames.
Geometry. A great sense of comfort and responsivenessThe Expert frame was inspired by
the successful Ultimate range. Both
models share the same geometry and
the headset offers a comfortable
and relaxed riding position for the
cyclist.
This geometry was specifically
developed for a 27.5 bicycle.
“It is clear that BH has a lot of
experience with MTB bikes. If
that was not the case, it would
be hard to understand how the
new Expert model frame has all
of the characteristics of the most
advanced models without giving up
any of its versatility. Aesthetically
speaking, this is a very attractive
bike with a very lightweight frame
that urges you to keep riding until
you can’t go any further.
When riding the Expert, I was able to
dominate every movement, feeling
the rigidity and flexibility offered by its
technological design. I loved trying it
out so that I could feel what it is like
to ride an innovative new 27.5”.”

4. Geometry.Much more stableThe geometry and design of
the Peak gives it an increased
attack angle, offering increased
performance and greater comfort
during the ride. Its design offers
a great sense of responsiveness
and the very small distance
between the axles and the rider’s
centre of gravity means increased
stability. The design of the slightly
higher head tube offers a more
comfortable position.
5. For all types of cyclistsThe attractive Peak frame has been
designed with clean lines and soft
solders. The colours of the graphics
lend the frame dynamism and a
technological spirit. Furthermore,
as the Peak is designed for a wide
range of riders, it is available in
many sizes. The Peak’s high level of
performance and efficiency make
it a bike with unbeatable value for
money.
2. 29”, ideal for taking on rough and complicated terrainsThe 29” wheels, larger in size,
directly influence the stability and
efficiency of the bicycle when facing
steep, uneven or bumpy terrains.
This type of wheels allows you to
attain higher speeds as your inertia
is maintained while you roll. They
also have critical parts, such as the
lower support, which has an extreme
stiffness, and lighter parts where
this stiffness is not required. This
gives the Peak a level of comfort not
offered by other frames.
3. EVO Brake Mount System. Less braking vibrationsThe chainstays of the Peak frame
have been specifically developed to
accommodate the EVO Brake Mount
system. The system is located on
the rear chainstay of the frame and
has an optimum tilt angle which
reduces braking vibrations on the
rear wheel and protects the brakes
from knocks.
Mo 5d ~ op. e }lkingפab)t 6e 29” ~lsThey are models that have become
more popular over recent years,
stirring increasing interest. The
Peak 29 has very easy handling and
stability, in addition to gaining more
ground with every turn of the pedals.
