“My family history in the world of jewelry and haute horlogerie

began in the early 19th century. My grandfather, Marcel De Leeuw,

owned and operated jewelry and watch retail stores throughout

Europe, including his flagship store at the world’s luxury epicenter,

Place Vendôme, in Paris. I am fortunate to belong to the 5th genera-

tion of a legacy dedicated to the art of creating luxury objects and

to the trade of fine jewelry and exclusive timepieces. I feel the time

has come to honor my heritage by launching a brand in the name of

time and tradition. DE LEEUW WATCHES represents a great chal-

lenge and responsibility in carrying on my family history and con-

tinuing our pursuit to provide the best with pride and hard work”.

The first DE LEEUW WATCHES collection was born from a desire

to create a high quality Swiss watch with a contemporary sporty design.

Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, the brand shares its name

with one of its creators, Martín De Leeuw, an Argentine businessman

who owns the most prestigious jewelry retail business in his country,

Simonetta Orsini. His personal experience in the collection and sale

of luxury watches has allowed him to understand the high demands

of today’s watch aficionados. In his tireless pursuit for perfection he

pioneered his own brand with the goal of fulfilling the wishes and de-

mands of his esteemed clientele. Everything from the design of the case,

the band, the details in the dial, the colors, the movement, are the result

of his vast experience in haute horlogerie, and closely working with the

most prestigious brands in the world.

Given its sporty design, this first collec-

tion of DE LEEUW WATCHES was named

PATAGONIA, inspired by a region of South-

ern Argentina internationally known

for its stunning natural resources and

the practice of extreme sports including

mountain climbing, alpine skiing, snow-

boarding, rafting and parasailing, among

many others.

The PATAGONIA collection’s most distinc-

tive feature is that all the watch cases

are manufactured in stainless steel and

coated in black PVD.

WATCHES target enthusiasts of haute

horlogerie who value the fusion of a tra-

ditional handmade Swiss movement on the

inside with a contemporary design and du-

rability on the outside.
