E rika Peña is a jewelry designer whose multi-cultural upbringing has shaped her jewelry designs into culturally sound pieces of fashionable art and has captured the

attention of fashionistas worldwide. The influence of her travels and cultures has led to Erika becoming a universal sensation. Peña, the daughter of Dominican parents, moved to Florida at the age of three. At 18, she relocated to New York City where she studied fashion design at Parsons Design School . Here, her skills were honed working and collaborating with fashion labels like Donna Karan and Josie Natori.

After graduating and returning to Puerto Rico , Peña worked as a representative selling designer lines. However, her drive and determination pushed the designer to venture into uncharted territory. Using nothing but her love of culture and a dismantled shell lamp, Peña designed and handmade a pair of earrings that launched what today is her jewelry empire, Erika Peña Designs. This empire also encompasses her partner Bielka Bevillard-Pena. In 2006, Erika joined forces with, Bielka Peña-Bevillard.

Since then, it’s been nothing but stunning stone necklaces, chic chandelier earrings, and ravishing rhinestone rings. With the designer’s first collection, Classics, unveiled in 2005, ñ, Peña is a craftswoman. The designs she creates are perfected from conception by her very own hands. Each piece crafted blends her

Latin roots and her bold fashion claim. And the results are luxurious, one-of-a-kind true works of art.With seven collections under her belt, fashion magazines, top celebrities and stylists, and international fashion platforms alike have embraced the unique creativity of this young designer.

Her exquisite creations have graced the pages of InStyle, Glamour, Vogue, Elle, Us Weekly, HOLA, Harper’s Bazaar, and ELLE to name a few. Style icon’s like Paris Hilton, Beyonce, Brooke Shields, Kim Kardashian, and Bridget Marquardt are several of the designer’s clientele. And most recently, Erika Peña launched her line internationally with the prestigious showroom Show Me That, in Madrid, Spain. (Show Me That is owned and operated by the Dukes of Feria home to clients such as Manolo Blanik, Oscar De La Renta and Tiffany and Co.).

Apart from the signature Erika Peña creations, she has launched a platform to help grow awareness of a foundation close to her heart, Yayasan Membina Api Cinta Kasih (YAMACK). The Cinta Kasih jewelry features the signature helping hands necklace and bracelet with proceeds going directly to the YAMACK Foundation to build and run for school for Disabled children in Bali. In an industry where break out designers are far and few between Erika Peña has shown that her designs have a transcended ageless quality that prove she’s going nowhere but up in this fashion jungle.
