Manlleu

Manlleu is the town where you will be staying. It’s a little Catalan city, situated about 1h hour drive from the capital, Barcelona.

It’s a town surrounded by mountains and there are a lot of farms.

The most important thing in Manlleu is the Ter River, one of the most important rivers in Catalonia.

This festival is popular for the young people, for example, one night is make a parade around the bars from the city, people sing famous songs and each bar gives them something for drink.

“La serpent” is a show that it is celebrate in this festival. It’s a theatre show that is represented in different places of the town.

Spain is popular for the big festivals that we celebrate. In Manlleu the most important festival is the “Festa Major” that is celebrated in August.

Vic

Vic is the most important city from our region.

It’s quite big: there are a lot of shops, a cinema, restaurants, a big market, etc.

Vic is an historical city, every year a lot of tourists come to visit the city.

One of most important musical festivals from Catalonia is “Música Viva”. During this festival the city is full of people from around Catelonia who come to Vic for attend all types of concerts.

Montserrat

Montserrat isn’t a city, Montserrat are some strange and awesome mountains from Catalonia.

In the middle from the mountains there is a big monastery, where monks still live.

The monastery is also a musical boarding school, only for boys. This school is famous because there is an important boys choir.

SitgesSitges is a village by the sea.

Every summer a lot of tourists come to spend their holidays there, because there are beaches and parties, but in the other hand it’s a very quiet and familiar town.

A good place for go in the night is “El carrer del pecat” . These street is full of places for go to party. The street is famous for gay people.

Every year in October there is a Fantastic Film Festival. This festival is full of famous actors and directors from around the world. During these days the town streets are full of people dressed as scary characters.

BARCELONA

Barcelon is one of the most famous cities from the world.

During the year is visited for thousands of tourists who come from all of countries.

There are a lot of museums. Ones of the most important artists from Barcelona were Gaudí and Miró.

There are a lot of beaches.

Barcelona is full of fashion shops.

Barcelona is full of old monuments because it’s a very important city for the European history.
