Casual.Direct is a fully automated state wide service locating casual and

temporary teachers to cover short term and long term relief needs in schools.

What is Casual.Direct ?

Benefits

• Casual.Direct will take the time and hard work out of organising casual teachers. Make only one request to book a casual teacher, where in the past it may have taken 30 or more telephone calls.

• Casual.Direct will locate a casual teacher to cover short-term and long-term relief needs.

• Casual.Direct accepts multiple or forward requests for casual teachers.

• Casual.Direct utilises an Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) for schools to quickly and easily request teachers via the Internet or telephone.

• Casual.Direct allows schools to request their regular casual teachers.

Step 1 - Enter your school code.

If you are unsure of your school code you can find it at: http://www.det.nsw.edu.au/media/downloads/employment/teachnsw/purplebk2003.pdf

Step 2 - Enter verification number.

Step 3 - Click Login

Step 4 - To request a casual teacher – click on this link

Step 5 - Enter your name

Step 6 - Enter your telephone number, preceded by 02 and no spaces

Step 7 - Enter the name of teacher being replaced

Step 8 - Click on link to continue

Step 14 – Click preferred option

Step 9 - Click button to select start date (click this text box)

Step 10 - Click button to select end date

Step 12 - Enter surname of specific teacher (click this text box)

Step 16 – Check details, if you are happy with your application, click link to submit your request to Casual.Direct

Step 11 - Check days of the week required

Step 15 – Add subject code (click this text box)

Step 13 – Click on Search (click this text box)

Step 17 – Record reference number for your records and click OK

Step 18 – You may return to the start screen for a further request.

• Click on down arrow and click on subject, then

• Click on Add Subject button

Then select month and date on calendar and click OK
