built in 13th century on a place of an earlier Slavic hill-fort.

in 16th century the Castle was reconstructed and fortified because of the thread of Turkish invasions

Šariš castle

one of the biggest castle complexes in Slovakia, stretches over monticule of volcanic origin.

it is situated north-westwards of the town Veľký Šariš

it was permanently settled from the Neolithic to the 4th century AD

built in the 13th century. the first written mention about

the castle dates back to 1245 the castle was situated on Torysa

trade road castle burned down in 1678.

Ľubovniansky castle

built in 14th century by Polish prince Boleslav

it is situated of the town Stara Ľubovňa
