On Tursday, April 16th, Selkirk Wilderness Skiing Limited willclose its operations on Meadow Mountain. All signage, whichhas been in place since December, will be removed on April16th, save and except for signage restricting access to and aroundthe lodge site. Tis winter marks the 14th anniversary of the

Meadow Mountain Signage Plan; a community and governmentsanctioned Agreement which provides a legal closure of theskiing terrain tendered to Selkirk Wilderness by the Province ofBritish Columbia. Compliance with the Signage Plan has beengreatly appreciated and is critical to our continued success, andto the safety of our guests and public users of Meadow Mountain.We ask that the public continues to respect the Signage Plan up toand including April 16th.

The charming, generous, inquisitive andhilarious Leon Rolingher passed awayon November 20, 2014 in Sandpoint,Idaho, having endured a prolonged bat-

tle with the brain disease Frontotempo-ral Dementia (FTD).

Leon was born on September 28, 1948,in Edmonton, Alberta to Gene and Thel-ma Rolingher. He grew up with olderbrother Solomon, and younger sisterGaye. Leon left Edmonton at age 18to attend Mesa College in Grand Junc-tion, Colorado. After graduating, Leonwas hired by Time Life and had a verysuccessful career as a Vice President ofMarketing of their book division. Then,

true to his lifelong sense of adventure,he decided to try something different.Leon had many careers throughout his lifein Washington, California and British Co-lumbia, from developing a call center atMerrill Lynch to managing a political cam-paign, and made a success of them all. Atthe same time, Leon had a big heart andhelped anyone in need.

In 1987 Leon methis loving soulmateand wife, DebbieFolmar at MerrillLynch where they

both worked. In 1991 the cou-ple partially retired and moved toAinsworth, British Columbia, andin 2010 they became full-timeresidents of Idaho. Shortly there-

after, Leon received the diagnosisof FTD. Always his partner in allhis endeavors, Debbie was hisfull-time caregiver until Septem-ber, 2012, when the progressionof the disease dictated that he move to acare facility.

Everyone who knew Leon loved him.Throughout his disease, Leon woke upwith a huge smile on his face. From thetime he moved to the care facility until hisdeath, Leon’s friends, from Edmonton toSan Diego, called him regularly. He didn’talways remember everyone, but he wasalways happy to say a few words to awell-wisher.

Leon Rolingher is survived by his wife,mother, siblings and their children, as wellas by Debbie’s family, who loved, respect-ed and embraced Leon as their own. Leon

will be missed by everyone he touched, butmost especially and profoundly by Debbie.

Zellstoff Celgar will cover the costs of the consultant toperform soil sampling, obtaining government authorizationand delivery costs of the fresh Biosolids based on access witha large truck/pup combination. Acreage should be able toaccommodate at least 6 truck/pup loads.
