    La vie a Paris

    TEODORA STANIMIROVI, IV-4JELENA ARSI, IV-4

  • There are so many people on this planet... Some of them are doctors, sport players, some of them are grandfathers, loving mothers, and the other half are children. But very important question is: What do we really want from the world? What do we expect? Do we belong to this planet? And what is our purpose?! No one has ever answered to these questions, but they are still here, in our minds, waiting to be discovered.

Lets start from the beginning. Have you ever wondered what the definition of life is? What people need to do just to be hap-py? Have you ever dreamt about perfect life? I certainly have. I can say that every human being dreams about that kind of life and it includes to finish school, get a good job, then become an architect, tennis player, a super star, maybe get famous, be rich, travel around the world, buy enor-mous house, drive ferrari, get married, become parent, raise children, get old... This is a perfect life. Sorry but I need to dissapoint you all. The perfection doesnt exist. And being happy doesnt mean that everything is perfect, its just your decision to see the life beyond the imperfection... that perfect life is actually all about the money, but can I ask you one more ques-tion. Do you see who makes you happy? Isnt it your family, friends and your bet-ter half. How many times have loved ones make you smile? How mantimes did you make a mess and the only persons who were there for you was actually your fam-ily? How many times all you have wanted

was a friend next to you, just to listen what you need to say, to clear your mind? You can not count it, but you could count on them. Sometimes its enough to think of someone you love and youd feel a big smile on your face. My point here is that weve forgotten what happiness really means. Its not about the money, its not about a big house or expensive car, hap-piness is actually love. Im not saying that we shouldnt dream, never stop dreaming because dreaming is believing but some-times hug is all you need and you can not be hugged by a car. Or can you?! Its up to you to decide. Dont live in imagination surrounded by the clouds, get back to the ground and start facing your fears, your problems because we all have ones, and start living in the real world.

I will never find out why I deserved to live, what I can expect, or what my purpose is. But at the end of the day were just a bunch of people walking on these planet, chaughting a breath, discovering some-thing new... We all have questions with-out answers, but I think that thats how suppose to be. Some misteries have to stay secret and never be revealed.

One day I said: Whats the point, you only live once? And somebody answered: Wrong! You live every day. You only die once. And I was speechless. But the man was righ . Dont waist your time, dont wait some special moments because every day is special. Live every day like its your last and never ever regret for the things you did in the past cause in that moment that was all you wanted, and like Paul Arden said: Its better to regret what you have done than what you havent.

    Marija Uroevi, I-2

    To dream ornot to dream

  • Ive opened an old door & saw a new world

This world that we live in, this place we call homeWe can be so happy, yet why are we so alone

Imagine a universe where you cant make a mistakeWhere everything is perfect, wouldnt that be great

If we could have done some things differently in the pastWould they be any easier, would they even last

So Ive opened an old door & saw a new worldAnd Im gonna tell you what I have learned

I could finally see how much I was tryingFailing all over again & couldnt stop crying

All of the hope I had just faded awayAnd the worst part for me was that everything was grey

Watching this again just gave me a headacheFor one more time made my heart break

What I wanna say from this is that the past cant changeBut our future is something that we can arrange

Because theres a new day after the nightAnd its waiting for you to grab that light

    Jelena Krsti, IV-4

    The thingsthat matterto my generation

Only a few years ago, I didnt un-derstand what my parents meant by saying: Raising your sister and you wasnt exactly a walk in the park, raising children is hard and its only going to get harder as time goes by

But gradually, Im beginning to get it. Times have drastically changed, and the bar is being set and higher with each day passing by. We barely have control over any-

thing nowadays. Things are get-ting out of hand and there is little we can do about it.

It was very hard for me to ac-cept the fact that everything my parents were trying to teach me is now almost worthless. I was taught that hard work and respect for yourself and others goes a long way and is a key to success. So you can imagine my surprise realizing that being obsessed with material things is more than acceptable.

For the majority of my peers the most important thing is buying the latest model of a mobile phone, the latest bag of a designer whose name they cant even pronounce correctly, or seeing who used the wrong filter when posting a pic-ture. People care more about talk-ing about others than living their own lives. I was raised in a more or

less old-fashioned way, and I am grateful for that. My parents al-ways tried to teach us what is tru-ly important and that happiness cant be bought. Although it seems like a thing every parent says,I got stuck with the idea. Everybody always wants more, and no matter how much you have you will always keep wanting more a blessing and a curse when you think about it, just like most things in life are. We are growing as a species and our wishes and desires are grow-ing as well. But when is it enough? Will it ever be enough?

I just hope that people will learn to live their youth to the fullest and value the right things in life be-cause, before you know it, it will come to an end.
