The Seeker and Beyond

For me, this picture characterizes the goal of the Seeker, “to search for a better life or a better way” (Pearson). Every time I look into a sunset I think of where my better life may be.

San Francisco is my home town. I love this place forever, but the seeker in me makes me want to explore outside of this place. Over the years I have been able to do so, and I am grateful for doing it, but I still have a spot in my heart for where I come from.

This place represents my desire to go to far off places where one can feel a sense of Autonomy. Even though this is Lake Tahoe, being on the top of a mountain like this is indescribable!

Just when you think you know your town pretty well, go a little higher than normal. The Seeker responds to the call of Spirit- to ascend. On the top of Camelback Mountain, I realize how much more there is around me than I would normally see, making me want to seek out what really lies in this still new city for me.

This picture makes me embrace my willingness to escape and leave. A lot of people are content being in this bay, but I am one who wishes to see what is outside the bay and past that bridge.

CompanionCompanion

As I go on through life, seeking the unknown and going places that I don’t know, I have a companion to wander with me. This dog protects me and will aid me in our pursuit for the better life.
