BioConcept-Gardenia Sp. z o.o. was created through merger of two companies: BIOCONCEPT - Bogusław Bednarz from Kańczuga and  Gardenia Sp. z o.o. with a seat in Warsaw.

The beginnings of BIOCONCEPT go back to the late 1990s, when  Bogusław Bednarz encouraged several farmers from the Podkarpackie Province to start organic fruit production. Initially the Company specialised in the production of frozen fruits. The following years saw a steady increase in the number of ecological farms which regularly supplied raw materials.  In 2004 BIOCONCEPT expanded the range of products on offer which now included chilled fruit, purees and concentrates  as well as frozen vegetables. This fact greatly contributed to the Company's rapid growth. Thanks to the active approach, excellent reputation and fine quality products the Company became a leader of the Polish market of ecological raw materials.

GARDENIA Company was founded in 2008 by Grażyna Skupińska, who has many years of experience in the fruit and vegetable market. The Company

specialises mainly in frozen conventional fruits. In April 2009 GARDENIA was transformed into a limited liability company, after its shares were acquired by the strategic investor, BAKALLAND S.A. – the leading Polish producer and distributor

of nuts and dried fruits, as well as healthy food.

The two companies' commercial partnership and the lack of their own production facilities were an impulse for creating joint investment goals.

In December 2009, as a result of the official merger of BIOCONCEPT Bogusław Bednarz and  Gardenia Sp. z o.o., an new entity named BioConcept-Gardenia

Sp. z o.o. was launched.

The main goal of the Company for 2010-2014 involves the construction of a production plant of 5,000 ton capacity, within the area providing the raw
