Case Study New York City High-Rise Commercial Developments
Project Overview
UGE has completed several high-profile wind installations in
NYC. The helical structure of UGE turbines are well suited to
extract energy from winds in urban settings. We installed
turbines on the roof of the Pearson Square Court building,
providing enough electricity to power all common areas,
including the lobby, hallways gym, and roof lounge. In
downtown Brooklyn, 338 Bridge Street, a 590 ft apartment
complex, also installed our turbines on their roof to power an
outdoor lighting display, serving as a “beacon for Brooklyn".

Case Study Anvaya Cove Beach Resort
Project Overview
Ayala Land Inc. wanted to demonstrate their commitment to
sustainability and reduce their dependence on the unreliable
electrical grid. UGE and Orion Group International assessed
the specific needs of the beachside resort site, created the
optimal solution, and designed a custom wind and solar
system that fit Ayala Land Inc’s renewable energy needs.

Case Study Pioneering Solar in Turks and Caicos
Project Overview
The local utility serving Turks and Caicos Islands
selected UGE and local partner Urban Green Environmental
to design, implement and install the territory's first ever grid-
tied solar PV system. 141 solar panels were installed on the
roof of the utility’s headquarters in Providenciales, with an
overall energy capacity of 35.3 kW.

Case Study Millennium Plaza in Valladolid
Project Overview
Nine eddyGTs were installed as a part of the renovation of the
Plaza Milenio (Millennium Plaza) in Valladolid.
The architecture firm specifically selected UGE turbines to
highlight and augment the visibility of the project’s
sustainability message. Several of the turbines are installed
on the emblematic Puente del Cubo bridge in the center of
the city.

The elegant Hornblower Hybrid and Infinity are
sustainable yachts. They both feature UGE wind turbines,
solar panels, and fuel-efficient engines fuel cells.
The wind turbines complement the renewable system and
provide green energy to cruise ships whilst showing the
public Hornblower’s dedication to sustainability.

Project Overview
Ford wanted to further highlight their sustainability efforts
by installing one of our eddyGT turbines to power the
brand sign in front of their dealership in Ontario, Canada.
UGE created the complete system design, and managed
the financing of the project, while local partner, The
Identitee Group, completed the installation.

Case Study Lexington Farms
Project Overview
Electricity bills have become virtually nonexistent for Lexington Farm
residents in Jerseyville, Illinois thanks to roof-mounted solar panels
and wind turbines on their homes. The residential development was
the first LEED platinum community of its kind in the US, and solar and
wind hybrid systems supply nearly all of the energy required to power
each of the 32 homes in the community.

Case Study City of Sydney
Project Overview
This is the first wind turbine for the City of Sydney. It is part of
a public art installation on the Bicentennial Park located on
the Glebe Foreshore. The power generated from the turbine is
used to offset the energy used by LED lights.
The artwork uses approximately 965 kW hours a year, and the
remaining energy is returned to the grid.

Project Overview
Qatar Foundation has utilized six UGE-9Ms to play a central

Case Study South Weber School
Project Overview
South Weber Elementary School installed two turbines as

Project Overview
UGE designed and installed 320 custom lights for the

Project Overview
Point Pleasant Township installed a hybrid Boardwalk
streetlight adjacent to Manasquan Inlet in New Jersey.

the nearby Fisherman Statue.

The City of Victor Harbor installed a UGE Sanya Streetlight at the Victor Harbor Recreation Centre car park. Lighting in public places is a major cost for the council at $210,000 a year. This unit is a pilot site; the city intends to install 30 more along the city waterfront.

Project Highlights
A clean, green environment is central to any park’s
success -- but Chinook Winds Public Park & Sports area in
Airdrie, Canada, took this commitment to sustainability to
the next level. The park’s pathways are now illuminated by
UGE’s off-grid outdoor lights, powered by 100% renewable
energy.
UGE outdoor lights cut Chinook Winds’ installation costs in
half and now provide 80% more reliability than traditional
grid-tied streetlights.

Case Study Verizon: Telecommunications
Project Overview
In 2012, UGE analyzed an off-grid Verizon site in Shasta
National Forest, CA which depended on propane for power.
The site lacks access to the grid and is unreachable
through the winter months. UGE designed and installed a
wind/solar/ storage system which offset the amount of
propane needed to power the site.

Case Study New Caledonia
Project Overview
Telecom towers’ extremely remote island location posed a
