PROGRAM DESCRIPTION This year’s conference is designed for primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, cardiologists, nurses and other health professionals interested in the management and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Clinical case-based presentations and vignettes will highlight general cardiology with refractory hypertension, refractory lipid and obesity management and topics such as coronary artery, valvular and cardiomyopathic disease; invasive cardiology for heart failure and arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and anticoagulation with antiplatelet strategies; venous disease with DVT and pulmonary embolus; peripheral arterial disease; TIA and stroke; syncope; AAA; and pelvic congestion treatment. LEARNING OBJECTIVES After attending this meeting, participants should be able to: n Identify risk factors for all presented diseases; n List guideline based testing for all presented diseases; n List guideline based optimal medical therapy for all presented diseases; n Discuss guideline based minimally-invasive and open surgical approach results for all presented diseases. CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT CME Credit The Emory University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM . Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Emory University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Nursing Credit Emory Nursing Professional Development Center (ENPDC) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Attendees to this CNE activity will be awarded up to 16.5 contact hours by the ENPDC. Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Successful completion of the CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 16.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) MOC program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
