Al estar asentada en un suelo calificado como no urbaniza-ble común, no cuenta con los servicios habituales de las par-celas urbanas. Por este hecho y ante el compromiso con el medioambiente de los propietarios, la vivienda se alza como un elemento autosuficiente en el que el diseño y el concepto espacial, están muy condicionados por el bioclimatismo y el entorno , y las configuraciones finales surgen como resultado de la total adaptación del edificio a su entorno y a su condición autónoma.
Favara housing is located on the side of a mountain, on the western edge of a farm dedicated to the cultivation of avocado.Located in the patch of greater height, with magnificent views of the sea, it emerges as residential owners need to live in the same workplace.

La vivienda pretende ser una continuidad de la montaña, al-zándose como un conjunto de volúmenes de piedra, con diferentes alturas en función del uso que albergan y la forma en la que captan la luz o las vistas exteriores. Ese sumatorio de volúmenes da como resultado una planta en forma de “U” que pretende abrazar a la montaña y posicionar las diferentes estan-cias entorno al vacío central y las vistas al mar.
A la vivienda se accede por la parte norte, a través de un paso iluminado cenitalmente y se llega a un patio abierto, al que vuelca el distribuidor que da acceso a las habitaciones y la ha-bitación principal. El acceso al interior se hace a través de una puerta enmarcada en uno de los volúmenes de piedra que contiene el salón comedor y hall de acceso, y desde ese punto se puede contemplar las espectaculares vistas al mar.
The house is intended as a continuation of the mountain, rising like a set of volumes of stone, with different heights according to use that house and how that catch the light and exterior views. The sum of volumes results in a plant in a “U” which aims to embrace the mountain and position the different rooms around the central void and sea views.
The house is accessed by the north, through an illuminated from above step and reach an open courtyard, which turns the distributor that gives access to the bedrooms and the master bedroom. Access to the interior is through a hole in one of the volumes of stone that contains the dining room and entrance hall door, and from that point you can enjoy spectacular sea views.

Los espacios de salón, hall y cocina tienen diferentes alturas en función de la necesidad de cada uno, y están conectados por el lado sur a los porches exteriores y por el lado norte al distri-buidor que da acceso a las habitaciones. El escalonamiento en planta que se produce en las habitaciones pretende proveerlas de la mayor cantidad de luz posible.
Siendo fieles al concepto generador, de bioconstrucción y bioclimatismo, la materialización de los espacios se realiza con muros de carga de mampostería extraída del mismo bancal. La cubierta es vegetal integrando más aún la casa en la montaña.Los materiales utilizados son materiales comprometidos con el medioambiente, y se pretende sacar todas las posibilidades de ellos, por ejemplo los muros estructurales son portantes y ce-rramiento teniendo un espesor considerable (50 cm) para tener una gran inercia térmica.

El agua de lluvia, es recogida y almacenada en un pozo que servirá para el abastecimiento a la vivienda. Las aguas fecales se conducen a unas balsas de tratamiento natural, para reutilizar el agua en el riego de la finca. La calefacción se realiza a través de radiadores integrados en el suelo que calientan sus circuitos con una caldera de biomasa.La energía eléctrica es producida por medio de unos paneles fotovoltaicos.La piscina se utiliza como enfriador natural, ya que en su pro-fundidad hay un tubo que la recorre, enfriándose el aire en su trazado por contacto entre el tubo y el agua, dando salida a la casa de ese aire frío, que regenera el aire interior. En definitiva el resultado es una vivienda bioclimática y auto-suficiente en directa relación con su entorno, que se mimetiza con él a través de su disposición y materialización, y pretende alzarse como un elemento más de la ladera.
