Every ship registered under the Togolese International Ship Registry, shall prior her permanentregistration, be marked permanently and conspicuously, to the satisfaction of the Ship Registrar asfollows:

a) The fficial !umber and registered tonnages, as above specified, are to be conspicuously markedin a permanent manner"

b) Ship#s name is to be marked on each of ship#s bows and on her stern along with the $ort of Registry, in an appropriate permanent manner"

c) Such markings shall be made in white letters if the background is dark, or be made in blackletters if background is light, and every letter shall be at least %& centimetres in length withproportionate width"

d) 'arks re(uired herein shall remain permanently and no alteration shall be effected unless in theevent of any alterations to the particulars thereby denoted and in a manner to the satisfaction of 

the Ship Registrar
