Engagement created a forum for the discussion about programs and experiences. The goal was to reflect the residents’ ideas of a great community.

We shared guiding principles on Experience, Access & Site. This provided opportunities for attendees to offer input.

The consultation process indicated support for the project as a whole with what was a strong desire expressed for the following activities:

• Skating• Aquatics • Learning• Passive exercise• Creating• Socializing• Viewing

The input reveals the desire for a centrethat is oriented to passive activities; a neighborhood focus as opposed to a regional centre suited for training or competition.

Work done to datePerkins&Will MBTWRFP for Design Consulting Services closed in September 2019 and Consultant Award in December 2019.

Perkins & Will with MBTW were the successful proponents.

The Perkins & Will team consists of a group of dedicated consultants who have vast experience in the design of community facilities throughout Ontario and beyond.
