Heavy rain caused flooding in the central areas of Ireland.Limerick, Athlone, Castleconnel,Ennis and Corofin are highly affected. Sandbags were distributed in some of the flood proneareas.The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Carrick-on-Shannon (Ireland).The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automaticapproach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 2 m CE90 or better, from native positionalaccuracy of the background satellite image.
