Our most beloved clas-sic tales will come to life! Join your favorite fairy tale characters in a quest that takes you under the sea, into a dragon’s lair, and through a cave of wonders. Come dressed in your best tiaras, suit of armor, wizard robes, fairy wings, or anything that makes you feel magical!

June 1-August 12Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived people big and small who loved stories. The people wanted to share their stories with each other, so they began keeping their tales in a small house. Soon, there were too many to fit in the house, so they built a bigger building. The people visited their story building often - five hundred times a day! And then, one summer, their stories came to life…

Is it magic, or just industrious Library elves? Is there really a dragon in the Library? Decide for yourself as you experience the all new, enchanted Camp Hiawatha. All summer, we’ll be exploring tales as old as time—and their modern-day equivalents. We’ll celebrate fairy tales through music, arts and crafts, games, and reading. Beginning June 1, join one of our three reading groups: Kids (Babies-age 12), Teens (Age 13-18), or Adults (Ages 19+).

The more you read and attend fun events, the more amazing prizes you can win! There’s even a family prize. When an adult and a teen or child register for Camp together, you can be entered to win a year’s membership to Morton Arboretum, plus other great family-bonding prizes.
