Carnival Themed Birthday Parties – How to Add to the Fun and Games All children love carnivals because of the rides, games, food, clowns and balloons. If you are
organizing a carnivalthemed birthday party for your kids, here are some interesting
entertainment ideas that could put smiles on their faces.
Hire a Clown
No carnival is complete without a clown, especially a good one who does silly things to provoke
laughter. Hire a clown who specializes in kids' parties. You could possibly have him greeting the
kids with a balloon at the entrance.
Arrange Rides
Depending upon the amount of space you have at the party venue, getting a bouncy castle,
merrygoround or toy train can keep the kids busy for a long time while they queue up for rides
and decide which one is their favourite.
Photo Booth
Set up a photo booth where the children can have their picture taken with the clown or in dress
up props like a clown nose or ring master’s hat. Arrange with the party organizer to print and
frame the pictures, so they can be added to the children’s take home goodie bags.
Balloon Artist
Hire a balloon artist who can make animal or flower shapes out of the balloons. For older
children who enjoy crafts, he could also teach them to make shapes with balloons.
Juggler
Watching a juggler work with his hands can keep the kids enthralled for a while. You can either
have small stage where he performs or let him walk around and encourage children to try their
hand at juggling.
Petting Zoo
For younger children, a petting zoo is a guaranteed hit. If the venue has the space for it, get the
organizer to set up an enclosure where the kids can pet rabbits or ponies. Pony rides are
another option.
Games stall
Have a games stall where the children can try to win a prize, just as they would do at a carnival.
Simple games like balloon darts, ring toss or can toss are fun for the kids, and they are easy to
set up.
