con el océano atlántico al oeste con

el océano pacifico

Colombia is bordered by east with venezuela,southeast with Brasil, sout with Perú

and ecuador, northeast. With Panamá, north with the

atlantic ocean,west with the pacific acean.

• Posee una topografía sobresaliente, ya que cuenta con la cadena

montañosa de los andes, la cual cruza casi todo el

país, desde la parte central y oeste en

dirección norte-sur.

•It owns a great topography,since it counts with the mountain chain of the andes,which rosses almost the north- sout direction.

CLIMA:Nuestro clima varia según la

altitud. Los llanos de la costa y los

valles profundos del rio magdalena poseen una

temperatura alta, mientras la costa del pacifico es la

más lluviosa. Las temporadas lluviosas y

cálidas cambian cada 3 meses.

CLIMATE:•Our climate varies according to the altitude. The plains of the cuast and the deep valleys of the magdalena river count with a high temperature, while the pacific cuast is the most rainy.

•The rainy and hot seasons change every 3 months

FAUNA:En nuestra fauna se

encuentran los mamíferos mas grandes de

Suramérica, jaguares, pumas, osos hormigueros,

osos perezosos, zarigüeyas, monos y ciervos.

FLORA:En nuestra flora crecen

manglares, palmas de coco. Hay árboles

comercializados como: guayacán, roble, nogal, pino, cedro y bálsamo.

De los arboles tropicales se extrae mucho chicle,

caucho jengibre

FLORA:•In our flora there are “manglares”, cocconut palms.there are comercialized trees like: guayacan,oak trees,pine,”cedro” and balm.from the tropical trees a lot of gum,rubber,and ginger bread are extracted.

ECONOMIA:El 27% de la población

colombiana trabaja en los sectores agrícola, el 27% en la industria y minería, resto de la población en el sector de servicios.La economía depende

tradicionalmente del café.

La economía del departamento se

concentra alrededor del sectoragropecuario donde se destacanlos cultivos de papa, hortalizas,

fríjol, trigo, y cebada. Hayganadería vacuna, ganado de

ovino y la cría de curíes.

BLACK AND WHITE

CARNIVAL

• Nació de un clamoroso estupor en pasto a partir

de 1926.• Se celebra del 28 de

diciembre (pre-carnaval) al 6 de Enero de cada

año.

It was born inpasto since 1926.

It is celebrated from 28th of december (pre-carnival) until the 6th

of january of each year.

EVENTOS:• 4 DE ENERO: Se alienta la fiesta con

la llegada de la familia castañeda. Marca el comienzo del carnaval de

negros y blancos.• 5 DE ENERO: Es el día de los negros

donde se conmemora el día en que los esclavos africanos tenían libre expresión en actividades lúdicas.

• 6 DE ENERO: Es el día de los blancos.

EVENTS:• 4 of january: the party starts with the

arrival of the castañeda family. It marks the start of the black and with

carnival.• 5 of january:yhis is the black people’s

day. The day that conmemorates the day that the black, african slaves had

free expretion in ludic activities.• 6 of january:this is the white people`s

day.

PRE-CARNAVAL:• Empieza el 28 de diciembre el día de los

SANTOS INOCENTES donde algunos pastusos juegan con agua lo que

algunos consideran un preludio del carnaval

• DESFILE DE AÑOS VIEJOS: se da el 31 de diciembre, la ciudad se llena de

monigotes laborados con ropa vieja, papel y aserrín. Estos representan el

año que se acabara a medianoche cuando serán quemados.

PRE-CARNIVAL:• It starts the 28th of december the

day of the “santos inocentes”.wheresome “pastusos”

play with water,what some consider to be an opening to the carnival.

• Parade of old years:it is on the 31st of december , the city fills up with

dolls labored with old clathes,papaer and wood residue.these represent the year thet will end at midnight,

when the dolls will be burnt.

EL CARNAVALITO:• Es el 3 de enero donde

los niños realizan su propio desfile de carrozas

en escala infantil, concebidas y elaboradas

por ellos mismos.
