Event Management• Initiated Lunar New Year Celebration at

Texas A&M University in 2007 and the event has since been a new tradition on campus

• each year, over 1,000 students, faculty, staff and members of the community participated in the event

• Partnered with student groups and various campus constituencies

Event Management

• Organized the opening events of the Confucius Institute at Texas A&M University in April 2008, including a Chinese language teaching seminar and special lunch and dinner hosted by the university president; well received in local media

Event Management

• Acted as a member of the Operations Committee of the George Bush China-U.S. Relations Conference in October 2007 in Washington D.C.; led a group of 20 U.S. students and 20 students from 10 universities in China for cultural and academic exchange “Former President George Bush and a host of other American

dignitaries, including five members of President George W. Bush's Cabinet, joined with top-level Chinese officials to discuss the relationship between their two countries, one that former President Bush calls "the most important bilateral relationship." Over 600 registered participants took part in discussions on issues of importance related to development - including trade and investment issues and education - energy and security.”
